At this point I doubt anything Nick can do with the series will gather up as much hatred as the movie.

I was only upset about the Kraang than anything else, though I have to admit, I'm more cautiously optimistic about the new movie than this show, I get a bad feeling about this show for some reason. It's turning out to be not what I expected but hopefully I'm wrong, and I'll see how my opinion will change after the first few episodes.

In fact I'm calling it now, most people are going to dislike the first episode, including me. I don't think it'll have a great one since it'll mostly emphasize the comedic aspect, that's what i'm thinking, the world building that fans will enjoy won't be until more episodes down the line.

I wonder about that too. The first episode of the original cartoon and 4kids series were both well liked, I hope this one can stack up.

I think this is going to have a lot of great humor in it, but also a lot of great action. It's probably not going to be the "DARKNESS THAT'S SO DARK AND SERIOUS THAT IT'S BLACKER THAN THE BLACKEST BLACK TIMES INFINITY" sort of TMNT that everyone seems to think will come off as anything other than "so dark that it's funny when used on children's television" like in Turtles Forever.

It's probably gonna come off more like what would happen if the OT stuck to its guns in being funny but still having awesome fight scenes.

And "everyone" will hate it for that.
