You been extra salty lately bruh. Someone in a Fluttershy shirt steal your wallet or somethin'?

Also, labels divide people.

I just wanted to poke the bear, LOL. A dude on a TMNT fan forum doesn't have any moral standing for judging fans of MLP.

Actually, is it on Netflix? I should give it a try with my kids... I think my daughter in particular might enjoy it.

I don't know what a Netflix is. I think so, though. It also airs almost daily in multi-hour blocks on Discovery Family.

You're about to make a very wise and life-altering decision. Current number of parents who watched MLP:FiM "with their kids" who then ended up buying merch for themselves and kept watching it long after their kids grew out of it stands at about 99.9% with a less than 1% margin of error. The IDW comic is also really great and aimed a little more at the older audience.

I see you as a Twilight Sparkle kinda guy, given her obsession with books. Although all the Cool Kids like Rainbow Dash.

Yeah, you're gonna have fun. If you told me ten years ago "There's this MLP show that's gonna turn out to be objectively far more entertaining and less infuriating than the next decade's worth of TMNT material across all media" I would've smacked you. But somehow that's what happened and that's where we are.

Nope. Nope nope nope.

Gonna nope hard out of this. Gave it a watch, and I'm back to harshly judging.

That just proves you have awful taste, and/or are allergic to whimsy.

I believe it, or at least some of it, is on Netflix. Was never more than a casual viewer, but pretty sure I've seen it all and it's actually a really decent series. The fact that a "girls show" was good enough to hook grown men even... we need more like this. (Then they went and did Pony Life, their version of Rise, because why wouldn't they.)

Definitely allergic to whimsy.

EDIT: Possibly also the first option, but I won't admit to it.

Pony Life is pretty f*cking lame, I can't say I'm on board with it. I'd rather have Season Ten. Feh.

I will say it's easier for the show to grow on a person if they start with Season One and go from there. Watching the relationships develop and the characters grow is half the fun. Later-season episodes are still fun but they're more random plot stuff and way too much Cutie Mark Crusaders. They're fine if you're already entrenched in the overall series but I can see them being more off-putting to neophytes. New People should definitely start with Season One stuff.

Movie was also fire.

I was literally dragged by brony friends of mine to see the movie. Eh, it was alright. I at least felt bad for the villainess, which I assume you're supposed to and liked her song. I bought the Funko Pop of her for one of my buddies on their birthday that year.

But that was enough MLP exposure for one lifetime. I'm good.

Her name is Tempest. Tempest Stormshadow. And as revealed in the ending, before her heel turn she was called Fizzlepop Berrytwist. I don't know how anyone could possibly forget either of those names.

Of course, a faulty memory is a common side effect of living miserable, joyless lives, as every single person who can't appreciate MLP:FiM inevitably does without exception.

It's fine. More apple cider for me and Indigo. SO HUH.

I made the mistake of letting my daughter watch MLP:FiM this afternoon.

Then we got into a friendly argument over whether we should watch My Little Pony or Star Trek.

Dammit, this was a fvcking mistake. I blame Leo.

I have also blamed Leo for things!

You guys all sound like my f*cking wife.

TO BE FAIR... at the very least the entirety of all nine Seasons of MLP: FiM is WAY more consistent on the whole than just about anything Star Trek. And I'm not saying that as a knock against Star Trek, I'm just saying, It Is What it Is. There's Great Trek and Awful Trek, and a lot of in-between.

With FiM, you can love or hate what it is but at LEAST it's consistent in being That for the entire duration of its run. Over 9 goddamn Seasons, that's not easy to do. Off the top of my head I really can't think of another popular show in any genre with a comparable run of episodes that doesn't have a noticeable dip, or even a lull. It started out as What It Is and then just stayed that way until it ended. Pretty neat!

...Give or take a few Cutie Mark Crusaders episodes. Some of those felt kinda like getting a Stooges short with Shemp instead of Curly. But at least they usually had the foresight to stick Rainbow Dash in there to make up for it. Rainbow Dash generally fixes everything.

Fair point! No argument on Trek, either.

You shut your damn mouth. I won't put up with anybody -- not even you -- talkin' $hit about my boy Shemp Howard!

The best thing anyone can say about Shemp is that he wasn't f*ckin' Joe. Fight me.

OG Stooges or GTFO, mang.

Replacing Curly with Shemp is like when the nWo replaced Hulk Hogan with f*cking X-Pac in 2002. If that's what you're gonna do, then just stop, you've already lost the plot.

Pac was no Hollywood Hogan, and Shemp just plain ain't no Curly, sir.

Shemp was part of the trio before they were calling themselves The Three Stooges, sir. Then he quit and they brought on Curly.

Then Curly had multiple strokes, and Shemp came back. Then Shemp had strokes, and Moe and Larry said "fvck it, let's get a fat guy who's NOT funny."

Did you know, Besser actually had it written into his contract that he couldn't be hit? Lousy fvcker. I think they still managed to sneak a few punches in though.

I'm aware.

And Dennis Condrey was part of The Midnight Express with Bobby Eaton before Stan Lane ever got there. But when people talk about the Midnights, they're invariably referring to Beautiful Bobby and Sweet Stan, not Bobby and "That Other Guy".

NOW let's talk about whether or not Jeff Jarrett was really part of the Four Horsemen in 1996. Hope you brought a f*cking pillow and a blanket, wise guy.
