Beauty and the Beast was successful because it's Beauty and the Beast.

Emma Watson and the film were big winners at the MTV Movie and TV Awards last night.

Here's a look at the motion-capture that Dan Stevens had to do for the film.

A deleted scene where LeFou gets attacked by an enchanted object, which happened to be a toilet, has surfaced. The two characters later met after the spell was broken.

Here's a look at what the Beast will look like at the upcoming Disney Cruise Line show, which will be based on the film.

Emma Thompson and Stanley Tucci attended a film festival and they were asked if they were at all surprised by the film's enormous success at the box-office and they said "not one bit".

I honestly don't see why they should be surprised at all. It's a movie based one of the most beloved Disney properties of all-time. Nothing was going to prevent it from being successful.

I just watched it. Emma Watson Can't sing they added a whole lot of extrafluff. Ewan Mcgregor's Lumiere wasn't as good as Jerry Orbach from the animated movie. Also Emma Thompson is no Angela Lansbury so The dancing scene wasn't as memorable. Also they ruined the beast giving the library to belle. It was so much better when he told her to close her eyes and not to peek until he opened the door in the animated one.

Glad I saw it but I am just gonna stick with the 1991 animated classic.

I don't think this version will ever touch the 1991 classic but I still think its a good movie nonethless.

I gotta say the scene where Beast threw a giant snowball to Emma's face was hillarious. Crack me up everytime.

He knocked her the **** out and laughed?! That's real love.

But yeah this movie can't beat the animated version but it had its moments and still shines through.

I think we can all agree though that one part of the new film Leagues superior to the old one is Belle's father, from being comic relief to possibly the best character of the new film.

Emma Watson as Belle and the Beast I thought were good, but not comparable to the originals at all. Gaston and Lefou however, I loved the new takes on them and think they actually give the animated variants a run for their money.

yes I do agree they did Maurice way better in the live action movie than the animated one.

I think I've decided I really don't like Emma Watson at all as an actress. I've seen her in the Potters, of course (which to me range from outright boring to "so-so"), The Colony, and just the other night I saw her in Noah... something is just very "off" about her that kills a ton of scenes I've watched.

Bill Condon wanted to Beyoncé to play Plumette the Feather Duster, but the part just wasn't big enough for her.

Disney has released this trailer to convince voters at awards shows to recognize the film's merits.

The new Celine Dion song is a great contender for the awards category but other than that... low chances.

I'm still offended that they auto-tuned Emma's singing voice to death that it sounds robotic and unrecognisable in parts. :/ They should've just let her sing, flaws and all.

Still love the movie but in no way superior to the original.

The film received four nominations at Broadcast Film Critics Association’s Critics Choice Awards. These really aren't surprising since they are in the creative categories.

BEST HAIR AND MAKEUP
