Casey Jones Mask Prop Replica from TMNT (1990)

How come no one is talking about this? Why can't I find anyone who is as excited as me?

literally the easiest cosplay/costume

wear some clothes and this hockey mask, grab a hockey stick. If you're Canadian that's even easier. If not get a crappy baseball bat with a golf club bag. come on guys lets get it done.

The Henson turtles thread sorta became the NECA catch-all, it's been discussed a bunch in there & elsewhere.

It's a cool release but it's also very generic looking that on second thought I don't know how to display it so it became less interesting for me.

Maybe NECA with add some comic lines and shading and rerelease it as a Mirage Casey mask!

Some dudes on Instagram created displays.

They got a styrofoam head from hobby lobby. Then put a black winter cap covering the head. So basically all the white foam is now black. Then placed the mask on the head and attacked everything to a doll stand. Total cost is around $10.

Looks really nice! I’ll ask them if I can share photo and edit this post if they say yes.

edit:

This sold out quickly. Neither NECA or Toys R Us has it in stock anymore. I sold more than I can count myself.

It's cool, but honestly nothing new. Screen accurate, warts-and-all finished fiberglass and ABS casts of the 1990 Casey mask has been on the market for quite a few years. TONS of research went into it. I haven't compared castings, but I wouldn't be shocked if it was even from the same replica mold.

Except Bonehead took two years to get his masks out after taking everyones money.
I'll still be grabbing the Neca version at some point to compare the two.

I've never been in a replica prop run that was any different.

Right, but this is being carried by Toys R’ Us for less that $40, so it’s definitely more available.

Same. For whatever reasons these were highly desirable. I have one, but its just so I can pull a Danakin before I display mine.

I'm shocked you didn't try to sell all of the masks, straps, and boxes separately.

I hope that's a good thing.

So because I part out figures you assume I would deface somerhing for no reason?

I did sell more of these than I can count for $60 shipped. Most of them I just drop shipped from Toys R Us.

For no reason? Of course there's a reason-- the almighty dollar that you seem to be always chasing after in this fandom. The green stuff (and I'm not talking about mutagen)

Some of the earlier fan casts mentioned above didn't come with straps. There might be a market for you.

Or you could pick up a full mannequin and have a 1:1 figure, heh.

I have the Neca mask, though I prefer to display the mask I bought from a private seller back in '13. The face is longer and looks more accurate.

Damn thing startles me ever time I walk in my display room.

I'm cosplaying this weekend as Mirage Casey, but here's a pic of me in the NECA mask.
