Dude, we already knew it was gonna happen, anyway.

How can you not witness better inevitability?

Wink

I could tell too, at the point of dropping the ECW title to newcomer Jack Swagger.

Well, I knew something was going to happen but I didn't think that Matt was going heel.

I'm also glad they're bringing back the Elimination Chamber. That match should be interesting.

It's my birthday today, and I can't wait to see RAW tonight, even though I'll have to miss an hour of it due to Heroes returning.

Happy Birthday.

My favorite heel turn was probably either Orndorff turning on Hogan in '86, or Savage turning on Hogan in '89. Yeah, everybody turns on Hogan nowadays, but back then he was still invincible so anyone who turned against him looked like they had serious balls. Both turns still hold up to repeat viewings due to their subtlety and slow burn booking.

Plus, I always crack up when Savage cracks Hogan with the Title belt in that backstage medical room. I bet Hogan got a nasty splinter when that rack of tongue depressors fell on him.

I also forgot that I met Paul Orndorff, So Cal Val, and Rocco Rock of Public Enemy, back when he was still Cheetah Kid. I actually have a piece of his costume!

Oh, and if anyone's gonna be in Jersey this spring...

Anyone else just feel their brain melt? I love this state...

That jogs my memory a bit. That was for abandoning Savage in a tag match or something I recall.

Hell, even Linda turned on him.

Just concerned, but I'm worried about the WWE Title having a seesaw affect lately.

First, Triple H loses it to Edge at Survivor Series.

Then, Jeff Hardy wins it at Armageddon.

THEN, Edge gets it back at Royal Rumble (thanks to Matt pulling a Owen Hart-kicking-Bret-in-the-leg type of betrayal.)

And now, I'm afraid Edge could possibly continue the tradition of dropping said title at No Way Out.

Then, who ever won it will probably drop it at WrestleMania.

This hasn't happen since Mankind fueded with the Rock over it.

Pretty soon, we'll see the Bella Twins with the damn belt.

No Wrestlemania V DVD? That was the best one!

That's partly it. Actually, Savage thought for a while that Hulk was shaggin' Elizabeth, since Hogan was always pretty big on PDA with her, and it bugged him for a while without any obnoxious announcers beating you over the head with it every week. You'd just see Savage flare a bit, Jesse the Body might make a tiny comment about how Savage shouldn't tolerate Hulk's grandstanding, but overall it was kept on the back burner.

Then, during a match against Akeen and Big Boss Man on Saturday Night's Main Event, Savage got tossed out of the ring onto Elizabeth in a NASTY bump for her. She got friggin' WIPED out on that. After a few minutes the med team hadn't shown up yet (since Liz was just a valet and not HHH), and Savage was the legal man in the match, so Hulk kinda had no choice but to carry her to the back for assistance. But he made it back pretty quick. Savage, meanwhile, showed great courage by fighting off both Twin Towers by himself until Hogan returned. Seeing his pal in trouble, Hogan reached desperately for the tag... and Savage slapped him in the face like an ingrate, leaving him to face Boss Man and Akeem alone. And he WON, because HOGAN IS GOD.

So yeah, afterwards they argued in the medical room, Liz in bed begging Randy to relax, Randy accusing Hogan of every bad thing to ever happen since the Garden of Eden, Hogan turning more and more orange as he pleads his innocence. Randy disgustedly leaves... then LEAPS over Liz in the hospital bed like a jungle cat on PCP to crack Hogan in the face with the WWF Title belt, sending Hogan down and knocking over an innocent rack of secondary medical supplies.

Between Savage winning the belt at WM IV and his eventual turn on Hogan, the angle went almost a year. A YEAR. Where wrestlers acted in character and didn't do things for no reason, and the twist, though something of a surprise, had been subtly foreshadowed and led to an actual payoff with a logical conclusion within the confines of a wrestling storyline! WOAH!!!

Nowadays it's like the day two guys team you up can already tell it's just so they can have a feud next month.

Edit: Just saw Benvenuto's post. Yeah, I say Linda deserves a patented Hogan chairshot. A good one, like he gave Vader, not those wimpy ones he saved for his pal Brutus Beefcake.

As long as Cena steamrolls through the elimination chamber, I'm fine.

I'm sure he will. He's got a movie coming out anyway, so it'd be dumb for him to lose it now.

That movie looks awesome. I think Cena will win that match, unless Creative does something new.

The only person Cena could lose to in that match is Jericho.

The last thing this world needs is another SRS Jericho title run.

As opposed to another generic, boring Cena run

"Attitude Adjuster"...kind of like saying "Stay In School" and "Don't Do Drugs". People seriously LIKE this crap?

Jericho is carrying RAW almost single handidly with his "honest man" heel persona

OMG! KID FRIENDLY! MY LIFE IS RUINED! WRESTLING SHOULD BE GEARED DIRECTLY TOWARDS ME AND ONLY ME!

Jericho's heel run outside of the HBK feud has been boring especially since Orton and now Matt Hardy are doing the exact same thing.

HBK/JBL and Orton are carrying Raw right now. I'm hyped to see Orton Vs. Cena at Mania, Orton has been on fire and winning would put him on the same level of perma-overness as Cena, HBK and Trips.

Also, what the hell is wrong with staying in school and not doing drugs?

I feel a need to confess a blatant Jericho/C.M. Punk bias. If one of them was in every match, I might watch whole episodes of Raw and Smackdown again...

I don't think that's fair with all the Hardy love around here... Jeff is sloppier than the Divas locker room after a visit from Randy Orton.

Sorry, I've just been holding onto that for a while.

I'm no Hardy fan, I still don't like Matt and I don't care about Jeff at all.

Punk is the first to admit his sloppiness in the ring but it doesn't really matter as long as the crowd cares about you.

I believe it was St. Hogan who sayeth, quoth, "The best worker is the one who makes the most money." So it was said by The Immortal One, thusly, it is true.

Go in peace, my brother, and remember to say twelve "Lemme Tellya Somethin', Brother"s, followed by one "This Is Where The Power Lies," Amen.

Oh, and Punk's sloppiness is cancelled out by his awesome hair. Archbishop Nash will tell you that having great hair is THE most important thing in pro wrestling. Triple H will tell you the same thing, but I don't advise getting close to him.

I can't remember the source, but someone stated that Hogan is the man to have a match against. Not just for the rub, but because wrestling against Hogan makes the most money.

Hair is definitley a selling addition. Long haired grapplers sell punches the best for one.

True. But not even long hair can protect one from Nash's dreaded "Elbow/Forearm Smash That Always Misses By At Least 6 Inches In Full View Of The Camera Every Time."

Just wondering, anyone planning on going to Legends of the Ring?
