New Live Action TMNT Movie in the Works!

Just to post this as an official news item, Mirage announced today (in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the TMNT) that a new live-action TMNT film is in production! Although this will technically be the fifth TMNT movie to be released in theaters, the project will be a separate entity from previous films and will focus on the Turtles' origins. Peter Laird (who will act as an executive producer) has stated that the new film "will remain true to the spirit of the original comic books." Scott Mednick (formerly of Legendary Pictures) and Galen Walker (producer of the recent CG TMNT film) will produce the new movie. The yet untitled film is expected to be released in 2011.
