According to Deadline, Pom is playing Mantis. I read elsewhere that Mantis is going to be in the next Marvel Lego game so this seems likely.

Kurt Russell is in talks with Marvel to play Starlord's father.

If only he could play Snake Plesbian as Star Lord's father. That would be fun and fit the tone.

Eh... he doesn't fit the mental image I have in my mind. Although, they're NOT going with J'son of Spartax or whatever, so my mental image is probably nowhere close anyway.

I was thinking more of the father/son personality aspect. From that angle, he absolutely fits! With Peter's personality being what it is, I can see Russell as his dad, especially if he goes a route similar to his role as Burton. And I've always loved him in just about anything!

But yes, I want Jack Burton as Starlord's dad! I'm so glad Kurt Russell is relevant again. |

That was autocorrect not liking 'Plisskin'.
Do we know anything about the plot other than Star Lord's father is involved?

So apparently Thanos isn't going to be in this one at all. Seems kinda weird since he'd make sense here, but they don't mind giving him a WTF cameo that made no sense in Ultron.

Eh, we'll see. I wouldn't rule out a flashback appearance by Thanos if we get into the backstories of Gamora or Nebula.

So I was looking for an article to site Feige saying he wasn't in it, but I found one where Gunn actually said he is, but in a small role.
Still weird. You'd think they'd get him doing something interesting in the year leading up to Infinity War. |

Considering that Gunn has said that "fathers" play a big role in the sequel, and that Thanos is the abusive adopted father to two of the main characters in the movie, I'm not surprised. Like I said, probably flashbacks.

A report suggest that Ego will appear in the upcoming GotG sequel. I was not aware of the character before seeing this report. I am well aware of Mogo reading the main Green Lantern book since 2004. Mogo the heroic living planet vs Ego the evil living planet. Anyway, here is the report.

For some reason I doubt that it will be true about Ego being the villain. Though I hope that Kurt Russel will play as Star Lord's father.

It may only be a cameo or a supporting role to another villain for all we know.
