They must be getting good ratings to make that move. Was it Thursday nights before? I don't remember since I always DVR it.

I was thinking of watching S1 and 2 to hype myself up for the new movie, does it end on too much of a cliffhanger? because I don't really plan to watch S3 for a while since I don't like to watch unfinished shows..

Surprised no one has responded since the premiere. First couple of episodes have been pretty swell so far.

Anyway, new clip:

I intend to start watching season 3 soon, I have been short of time. It seems things are interesting, blind Kanan using the force for vision, Ezra etc... Anyone know where I can watch it online?

Roughly a third of the way through, I'm a little bored with the third season. I found Vader and his Inquisitors to be far more entertaining villains than Thrawn has been so far. I am really curious to see what's going to happen with Maul though.

I actually really like Thrawn but the dude rarely does anything, I'm a little behind but from what I seen so far the dude only had an actually presence in "Hera's Heroes"

@NinjaPug, think you can resize it a little

The whole reveal of Kallus being the new Fulcrum, and Thrawn possibly knowing, has made Thrawn's plot a little more interesting.

So I'm in full Star Wars mode right now and thinking about catching up on this show. Keeping in mind that I ****ing hate The Clone Wars cgi show (Love the Genndy stuff though), would y'all recommend this to me?

Depends. It's cartoon-ish and pretty different than CGI Clone Wars. I'd say give the first season (13 episodes) a try and then go from there.

I know people that hated The Clone Wars that like Rebels. It took a couple seasons for TCW to become enjoyable for me. How much of TCW did you watch? There are a lot of callbacks to TCW in this.

There are also some pretty bad standalone episodes of Rebels.

I watched Hera's heroes yesterday and I must say that Thrawn is intimidating. The way he talks, and his eyes alone are factors that contribute to me liking him. I think he'll be interesting later in the season.

Having him do nothing might be to build up his character. He might do something in the future that we would think he's incapable of doing.(if he hasn't already, i'm behind.)

I got season 1 at Target for a good price, figured 13 episodes wasn't a huge commitment.

What about The Last Padawan? I'm sure it's good, but how essential to Rebels is it?

And related: Is there any confusion about chronology? I thought it was pretty clear that every thing was pre-New Hope, but my buddy at the comic shop (who I used to consider a Star Wars expert) tried to tell me Marvel put out some timeline placing Last Padawan after Empire and had Rebels taking place concurrently with Force Awakens and episode 8?

Any idea wtf he's talking about? I pointed out that Vader was still alive and that didn't seem to pursuade him lol.

I saw the pilot/movie and ****ing hated it. I've seen random episodes and have kinda kept my thumb on the pulse of the story line.

Last Padawan is awesome and well worth the read. It's not essential, but it adds a lot to Kanan's character and what type of person he is. No idea what your friend is talking about, because TLP doesn't go past the first season of rebels.

I don't know what's he's talking about. Everything in Rebels is pre-New Hope. Show is currently set two years before Battle of Yavin.

The Last Padawan takes place between Order 66 and runs into Rebels.

All the Rebels references in Rogue One from Filoni himself:
