Candy Kappa's Custom Attempts

I've been playing around with small modifications and customizations on some figures, so why not share the... result of my labor.

First off is my attempt at giving Splinter some articulation (still WIP). I was heavily inspired by Galoob23's Splinter custom for using Marvel Universe Grey Beast for parts (I used upper arms), and WinterSoldier13 on Figure Realm.

I ordered 50pcs of Revoltech joint hoping to get some useful ones, which I did. Then I ordered Grey Beast figure and a cloth jacket for SH Figuarts Naruto, sadly the jacket was a bit on the short side but it'll do for now.

Then I removed Splinter's robe with a knife, removed upper arms with boil & pop and I cut his legs from the knees. I also boiled the lower legs to flaten his feet, sorta worked but I've ordered a Dojo Splinter for foddering the feet and tail.

Then I dremeled holes for the revo joints.

Still need to formfit the legs and arms so the go more snug to the joints, and he needs a paint job, but that's for when Dojo figure arrive. I also need a new robe, been oogling at some of CJESIM's work, that Kenshin inspired outfit would do nicely with a red jacket and white hakama.

Thanks Yeah, he's a lot better with some joints added, I was a little worried that Beast's upper arms was too short, but it worked out length-wise when adding the revo joint.

Very cool. I thought about doing something like this with Mondo from this line.

Splinter got new feet from Dojo Splinter. I also uses the tail from Dojo as it's a lot nicer and actually plugs in, i spliced the tail and the plug so that there's a revo joint in there.

I really dig this and having a splinter who could sit in a kneeling position is something i have wanted to see for ages.

Nice work

Thanks Yeah, there's no Splinter figure that can do that, maybe Next Mutation Splinter since he got knee joints, but I've not seen a whole lot of that figure. So that was my main goal when upgrading my figure.
