Shhhh, I haven't posted those here yet! & yes, it's definitely hand-painted. Inks & watercolors.

Editing your original post would have been better... It's ruining the surprise.

Waiting on one piece to come in the mail, and one to be finished in general. Once I get the former in a few days, I'll share my recent acquisitions.

Sweet. Can't wait to see what you guys have. Whether it takes forever or not
I'll probably get another Lawson for my birthday. I contacted Dooney, but I'm not ready to pay his price just yet.

yeah, i'm currently waiting on 7 pieces. as most of you know, commissioning art can be a very timely process. some items take close to a full year, while others could be received in less than two weeks. its always exciting to get the goodies though

Looking forward to seeing it all, dudes.
There are two artists I had in mind for some time to commission, but unfortunately, one of them presumably ignored my message (Facebook, as some of you may know, now lets you know when messages have been read), & the other, I can't find a contact for. Not a Facebook, email, blog, website, nothing. Hit up some folks he's worked with to see if I could get through but didn't hear back from them either. Both are in some way connected to the Nickelodeon show. I wanna be able to commission someone whose work can go on my wall as a representative of the new series, and accurately reflects its animation style by default, too. Oh well, there's plenty of time and people I can try. I've got no shortage of ideas, but in some cases, it's a matter of either being unsure who would best suit them, or not having enough money. Other times, I can't get a hold of people. Been thinking I might want my next piece to be a painting, though... Outside of original paintings I've purchased, or pieces that lightly featured watercolors, I've never actually gotten one before. Could be cool, it just tends to be so pricey... Two goals that are certain, however, are that I need a piece from Peter Laird (one day hope!) & one from Stan Sakai. They're two of my all time favorites ever, yet the stars have not aligned for us yet. I'd prefer to get commissions, but in the end, due to limited access & whatnot, I suppose I'd settle for random original works. I just wish Stan did commissions outside of cons, as I never have the opportunity to see him in person.

I know what you mean. I'm jelly of everybody who gets con sketches. There's never a con close enough to where I'm at. There was one in New Orleans, but I couldn't make it. Sucks cus I read Eastman was there.

pretty nifty pics. what kind of paper are they drawn on? i always like to know if artists use high grade paper or just the cheaper stuff.
