Rise of the TMNT Float will Debut at Macy's Parade this year

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are rising out of the shadows this Thanksgiving, and taking center stage in the holiday's most popular televised tradition.

On Thursday, Nickelodeon announced that its new series, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, would be getting a massive float in the 92nd Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The multi-storied structure is going to show off the Turtles' underground lair, bringing their world to the streets of New York City for all to see.

“Adding incredible excitement to the Macy’s Parade since 2012, we are thrilled to once again partner with Nickelodeon for an all-new, totally reimagined Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Float,” said Jordan Dabby, vice-president partnership marketing for Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. “Helping to keep the Parade and New York safe from the evil Foot Clan, the Turtles are sure to captivate millions of spectators live on the street and on television as they ride through Manhattan on board this exciting stage.”

I respect what FW cartoon did for the turtles franchise but it is the most overrated and hard to watch of the 3 turtles cartoons.

Too bad they don't show both sides, but this is probably the side we won't see on tv.

edit: Just me or is there a boob on this float? Just noticed that and now I can't unsee it. Maybe "sewer pipe gray" would have been a better paint choice in that section.

They should ride one of the Thanksgiving ballons in Big Bug Blunder.

Anyway, I would like to see clips from all the turtles' earlier appearances.

I think all of the parade appearances for Nick 2012 used the same float each year, so they mostly all looked like this clip:

Hm? Nah, 'Rise' has its own new float design. (But they'll no doubt use their own repeatedly as well.)
