Spoiler:
Wow, Bebop and Rocksteady's turn from credible threat to bumbling idiots took less time here, then in the FW show. Good on ya, movie.

Just read it beginning to end. I actually... really liked it. The whole Schrader thing is my only large gripe.

I'm totally open for OT rehashing, and taking wild new directions for things. Just so long as more familiar things co-exist (like the IDW book & Nick show).

Obviously there are a lot of flaws with it, but as far as the overall plot, character changes (Barring Shredder), & humor go, I'm open to this.

I am so baffled by this audacious script. I really don't know what to make of it. One thing I do know? I'm extremely pleased that it was canned.

okay, i just finished reading most of the script. i gotta say, this movie is going to be HORRIBLE (if they go with this script). Why are bebop and rocksteady going to be in this, the just seem out of place. they could have used the new mutants from the new nick show. also, why is there no shredder in this movie?!?! I am very confused about the script, is it a sequel to the original movies? is is tied in to the new nick show? everything in the script seems weird, the turtles being aliens is stupid and destroys everything we know and love about the TMNT's origin. i really hope this script is not the final one, i think it would be better if there was no movie at all.

So my final question is, is this movie going to be related to...

The original Movie series

The New Nick Series

Or will it be something completely different?

I'd write a script in a heartbeat but they'd ignore it. Also I wouldn't be getting paid, which assuming this is real the moron who wrote this did. I'd also get no credit and have no hand in making sure it was actually done the way I wrote it.

The only saving grace is that the studio obviously didn't buy it so we'll see where it goes from here.

As for Eastman, well these days Eastman seems to like everything. He's the polar opposite of Laird who hates everything. That's why they probably worked so well together. They balanced.

Spoiler:
I would have liked for Casey and April to be older. It almost sounds like a teen movie at the beginning.

Colonel Shraeder tho....LOL....

So Casey Jones is the one giving the turtles colors and not Splinter.

To be honest, there are some parts where it could work but obviously, the final script will be different from this early draft. I'm not going to judge until we hear more about the actual film.

It's times like this you have to appreciate Peter Laird for flat-out telling people something is stupid and utterly moronic.

Meh. Peter is guilty of plenty of moronic things himself.

I hope to god this entire script is trashed.

I'd even prefer them to take a cue from IDW and have the Turtles be reincarnated than have anything to do with aliens.

Yep.

Peter is the only one I'll ever fully trust. Even if he DID put Donatello back into a robot body in Volume 4. Eastman's lousy track record speaks for itself. Everything is "cool" to the guy.

Know something? I don't hate it. It's actually sort of interesting in that it's different but with familiar tones and characters.

Call me crazy but I'm sorta sick and tired of Ninja Turtles being exactly the same almost every time. Atleast the Transformers were animals once.

And nothing will ever be worse than the 'April is a drawing' garbage.

Casey Jones thought the turtles were martians when he first saw them in the OT. I wonder if the writers saw that episode.

I can handle change, but these changes seem to be for the sake of change, and not to make a good story.

Ninja Turtles Evolution

For the most part, the story wasn't bad. The action seemed like it would be really good. Leo, Raph and Don seemed really in character. Mikey on the other hand was just kinda there.

This "script"(I don't believe it's legit) could damn well be a very good fandic that would allow the use of made up characters. Like it wasn't actually made for the turtles. Like DBE......which means I would see it once and never ever again.

But some changes aren't made to make a good new story. It's to refresh things and shake it up. I liked the script sort of as an Elseworlds type of story and that's a-ok because Ninja Turtles as it exists currently is S-T-A-L-E.

Also TMNT fans complain about ANY change so it's hard to judge what kind of change is the wrong one. This is the place that was demanding a written explanation for months over a third toe.

Looks pretty awful overall. All the stuff I said "could work" doesn't look to be presented in any way that WILL work. This has Transformers 2 written all over it. I know it made money, but it did everything wrong that the first one did right.

Ah well. At least now we know MOST of what we'll be getting, since there's no way they have the time/money to start COMPLETELY over on a new script. They'll use like 3/4 of this and fill in the rest with fluff. At least we know what we're getting.

Last TMNT movie for at least another 10 years, you heard it here first. I hope I'm wrong, though.

What kind of idiots thought this was the way to bring TMNT back to the big screen?

I'd say "Michael Bay" but...well...you know.

Say what you will about him only producing, but reading this thing it reeks of Bay-O
