Sans the helmet, it was pretty on-point Just a shame we didn't see Cottonmouth in-costume, but he was a vastly different character in the show, though. |

It was comic accurate. But that **** is for Marvel movies, not their grounded realistic ADULT Netflix shows.

I gotta disagree with you there. It's far too few costumes in the Netflix series, while its adult oriented it is still superheroes and in the MCU
I didn't mind Jessica never was Jewel, Purple Man wasn't purple and Luke's OG threads was just a 5 second cameo. It's fine, Luke hasn't worn that outfit in years, and Jessica as Jewel would have boggled down the show a lot. But we need more spandex. I really hope Iron Fist gets his costume faster then Daredevil did. |

But Diamondback looked like... he looked like Diggle from "Arrow." I mean, if the character had been any good, I wouldn't hate the costume so much. But bad overacting with cliche writing AND a doofus costume? Diamondback was the one dealbreaker for me in this show. And he survived for Season 2?

Couldn't really be let down by Luke Cage on account of the fact that I knew jack and squat about the character prior to reading "Alias." I will say that I loved him in Jessica Jones, and in this. That actor is just...he's so great and oh so easy on the eyes.
Regarding the show... Spoiler:
I liked it a lot, probably a bit more than Jessica Jones, but that's only really because I loved Alias a whole bunch.

I was shocked when I heard it. Never for a second did I ever expect, even on the "more adult" Netflix shows, that anyone would ever utter that. But no, it's great. And it would absolutely be dishonest to not include it.

Yeah...the pearl clutching over the inclusion of that word is almost as funny as the people upset about how there were so many Black people on the screen.

Mike Colter is amazing, so much charisma. When they first announced him to play Luke, I was a little miffed it wasn't Terry Crews. But Mike easily won me over.

Both Daredevil seasons were good to great, but Jessica Jones and Luke Cage have MATTERED. THAT has been incredible. I want more of this.

100% the same. Quote:
I loved the first season of Daredevil, and the second I appreciated because I have an unhealthy affection for Murdock's smug punchable face. Like...the more smug and "I'm the smartest person in this room" he is, the more I love him. It's a sickness. But season 2 was kind of a wet hot mess pacing wise. Spoiler:
But Jones and Cage have something to say, and do it so stylistically well.

There's never been anything even close to Jessica Jones or Luke Cage before. It's nothing short of historic. As far as Daredevil Season 2... I liked it better than most, but it wasn't great. It was decent, with a phenomenal cast. But Elektra and Punisher absolutely should've been two different seasons. Luke Cage made the same mistake with Diamondback and the rest of the antagonists.

& the "pearl clutching" about it in this thread ironically comes from someone whose Facebook was covered in confederate flags. Interesting.

I did notice that but I'm not too well-versed in Marvel. What/who is it foreshadowing/referencing?

I think he thinks that drawn picture on the wall is one of those lego Ninjago things he is into.

I thought that might be the case, given who posted it. Does it hold any actual weight in-universe, though?
