I think the first one I ever saw in theaters was the 1991 re-release of One Hundred and One Dalmatians. I was four years old. It could've been something else prior to that, but I could wrong.

This would just be a guess, but the first "movie" that I remember seeing was He-Man/She-Ra: The Secret of the Sword in 1985. It wasn't really a movie, it was the first five episode of She-Ra that were cut and pasted together so that it could be aired in the theater. Sort of like if TMNT "The Epic Begins" would've aired in the theater.

Ha, with that in mind, 101 Dalmations was actually the first movie I ever watched. On VHS, though. And as I called it "doggie movie".

It was followed by The Great Mouse Detective because it was on the end-of-movie trailer. To this day, my family still quotes "Where's the list" in Vincent Price voice, and "Finish it, Flaversham!"

It debuted in Portugal in January-February 2000, so it must have been later:

A bit off topic but the voice of Pongo was actually my great uncle. (I'm assuming you saw the original. I wish I could have met him.........
