Ron Perlman wants to play Cable. Ron says "I'm the only one with Cable's friggin hair!"

Honestly, first I heard of them wanting Cable in the sequel and reading up about him (I'm not the biggest Deadpool fan now heh), then Perlman was my first thought too in terms of age, looks, and playing THAT kind of character.

Yes! I'm sure he has the look, but I instantly think of the voice, and betting Ron would absolutely nail that as well. I'm thinking the voice would actually be very similar to the 90s animated series version if they picked Ron. He'd be perfect for the role on so many levels.

News concerning her casting: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/collide...o-casting/amp/ Ryan Reynolds tweets asking for fan input for sequel, promptly deletes it. http://www.screengeek.net/2016/10/22...ut-deadpool-2/ Also, Tim Miller is out. Citing "creative differences". https://www.google.co.uk/amp/deadlin...201841001/amp/ Fans actually want Quentin Tarantino to direct it. It'll never happen, but sure. Why not? I kinda prefer Tarantino doing his own thing though, not directing stuff other people have written. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/comicbo...ct-deadpool-2/

Petition to land Quentin Tarantino the directing gig. Also James Gunn is a sad panda about the whole deal with Miller

To be fair, that kind of sounds like Deadpool 1.

Y'all didn't see my post about QT, huh? I did edit it, so maybe you didn't.
It would be cool if he did direct it, he'd no doubt rewrite the script and make it more like one of his own films though, which may not gel well with the first film. I dunno, what do you guys think?

Most of the action in Quentin Tarantino are very grounded, and Deadpool isn't grounded in any way, since its way way out there, the 1st movie had a couple of set pieces that were action heavy, don't know if he can direct that level of action in a Deadpool movie.

I'd at least like to see how he'd go about it, maybe not in a Deadpool movie though. Perhaps his mate Robert Rodriguez would be another option? He's more experienced at directing bat-s*** insane action.

Even thinking that Tarantino would even consider for a nanosecond helming the sequel to the spinoff of the reboot of Singer's horrible X-Men movies... to say that would be "crazy" would be... a vast understatement.

Yeah, literally zero chance of that. QT does his own thing. Him working on capeshit for Fox would go over like a turd in the punch bowl.

There's as little chance of it happening than there is him directing a Star Wars movie, which he turned down without a moment's hesitation.
Tim Miller wanted Kyle Chandler to play Cable. I can't see it myself, glad the studio sided with Reynolds. I'd like either Ron Perlman (duh) or the guy from James Cameron's Avatar. EDIT: Done some cleanup in this thread. Page 3 and 4 now has one big post by me with all of my other posts combined.

The reason Tim Miller left, cause he wanted a bigger budget on the sequel.
http://www.thewrap.com/inside-the-de...ferent-movies/ In initial sequel talks, Reynolds, Reese and Wernick envisioned a “scrappy,” raunchy and inexpensive movie, the insider said — in the vein of the first, which earned over $780 million worldwide on a $58 million budget. It’s a stunning return on a film Reynolds lobbied 11 years to make. Miller, known more for his visual flair than for the brash antics that Reynolds and his writers embraced and that fans loved, wanted a more stylish take, one that would compete with mega-budget superhero movies, insiders said. But it would have cost three times as much as the original $58 million film, the first individual said. Last edited by TigerClaw; 10-25-2016 at 08:39 PM. |
