It would make absolute sense acording to Turtles in Time and April & Casey beeing also released as a volume.
Also, when is Vol 13 coming out?
Cant afford to get all single issues and volumes are a very good alternative, but don't wanna pay for shipping and stuff right before the next main plot volume comes out...

BTW, I'm freaking loving this series. Secret Story of the Foot Clan is GOLD.
Volume 13 comes out Jan 13, 2016.

Great, placing my order around then, then

What about Utrom Empire? Think it will also come out as a volume?

Utrom Empire is a volume, and is only three issues in length.

that's another great thing about IDW !!!!
their collected editions come out not too long after their individual comic release.

So in issue 51...
Spoiler:
When April says to Leo "it's been a long month." Is that our hint that the TMNT have been running the foot for about that long? It didn't seem like that was the first time Harold had seen Don "in the flesh" given his attitude. So short timeskip then?

That was my impression. It seems to have been at least a couple weeks since #50. Considering everything from #41-50 + the Mutanimals and Casey & April micros happened over the course of a couple-few days, the book was probably due a time jump.

I've been ordering all the TPBs from Amazon which you can find by searching "idw teenage mutant ninja turtles". There is a list of them all on the wiki:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teenag...ected_editions

I also just picked up the Annual 2012 and 2014 Deluxe editions from Amazon since they were never collected with anything else as far as I know, but those are hardcovers.

The annuals are basically TPB's themselves, that's why they aren't collected with anything else.

I think they will be included in those new deluxe hardcovers though.

I'd have thought so, but I don't see it listed in that B&N description for Vol. 2 which is where I'd expect to see the 2012 Annual.

While I was expecting it in volume 2, it could also work at the beginning of volume 3 as well. I don't think there's any mention of the 2012 annual until cityfall. That would make vol 3 cityfall and the annual which is ~16 issues worth of story, which is in line with the length of these hardcovers and would make more sense than utrom empire or Northampton. I'm gonna wait till the solicits for vol 3 and if it's not there I'll grab the deluxe hardcover

Batman/TMNT series placement

Any idea where the Batman/TMNT issues are supposed to be read in the timeline?

Also, I am way stoked for the "Deviations" one-shot!

Well, Bobby Curnow has said that it isn't canon, so any attempts to try and find a place to wedge it in would be purely academic.

That said, going off what we've got so far from the miniseries, I'd guess somewhere after TMNT #37 (when Shredder and Krang declare war on each other) and before TMNT #41 (when the continuity gets too dense for any additional stories to take place, and also begins the arcs that writes Shredder and Krang out of the book).

I'd also think it would go before the TMNT/Ghostbusters miniseries (which is also right before #41) since that mini had the Turtles more familiar with transdimensional teleportation technology and they seem rather oblivious to how it works in this mini.

More info could come around in the next three issues of Batman/TMNT to suggest a firmer place, but they're playing it vague on purpose, I think.

I think your read on it is about as close as one can get to making it fit, Spengler.

Mainly because Alopex is sure to bring a katana for her opponent and envision herself fighting Leonardo with the rest of the turtles in the opening sequence as well as on the last page. Granted, it's super easy to ignore, but if you think about it... it doesn't make sense considering Dark Leo had made his debut in #24.

Also, the longer Alopex was plotting Shredder's demise, the cooler she is.

Opinions?
Man I'm still thinking about this

I agree with the whole thing about her bringing the katana, it only makes sense that at that point in time she was anticipating fighting 4 Turtles, not 3. Plus, I don't know how else Hob could have gotten his insider information regarding the Foot's plans and the location of where they were holding Casey unless Alopex was already disillusioned by the whole thing and had passed along some information to him. If we accept that Hob just spied on the ninjas old school style, then the Foot Clan are pretty sh!tty ninjas.

Plus, it does make Alopex way cooler

This is what I was looking for. I know its not cannon, but near enough.
Let us all know if it changes or gets more specific, please!

Thanks!

So post-issue #50, the story arcs are chronologically thus:
  • Order From Chaos (Issues #51-#55)
  • Leatherhead (Issues #56-58, plus #59 and #60 which are included in the TPB but not strictly speaking part of this story arc)
  • Chasing Phantoms (Issues #61-#64, and the Christmas issue, #65, which will go in the TPB)
  • TMNT: Bebop & Rocksteady Destroy Everything
  • TMNT Universe: The War to Come (issues #1-#4, although the trade will include TMNTU #5 and we don't know where that will fit chronologically yet, although its probably concurrent to the Christmas party in TMNT #65)
  • the Alopex rescue issue (#66) which will be included in the Desperate Measures TPB
  • and then Desperate Measures itself (#67-#70)
  • and then who knows??? Utroms, Triceratons, Pantheon, and most likely a bunch of surprises

2017 should be a very good year

The Pantheon storyline is probably going to go all the way to issue #100. Probably climaxing with Kitsune reviving Shredder as a Dragon God.

I do really think the next arc after Bishop will probably have to do with a return to the Utroms or space travel. Or Bishop attacking Burnow Island, which would lead to it.
