Humans evolved from Pigs and Rhinos

Let this thread serve as a reminder that in the PD universe, human being evolved from pigs and rhinos. That is literally the explaination for why Bebop and Rocksteady mutated the way they did. Not mixing the ooze with animal blood or having them start out as animals, their ancestors were literally a pig and a rhino...

Is this the single dumbest thing in a theatrical TMNT production ever or what?

That part always makes me feel like it was written by someone who was home schooled badly and has pretty much about ZERO understanding of how evolution is believed to work.

Like they vaguely heard something about evolving from other species and they just thought creatures can just magically evolve from literally any other creature. The movie just makes them look... moronic. It's not even done in a way that's clever via finding some way to make it work, it's just that way because... no reason.

One of the many issues with those films that could have been smoothed on in a matter of seconds with just a few extra words of dialogue, such as a predictable but safe plan of infusing them with the rhino/warthog DNA. But clearly that was too complex to figure out.

But remember, it can also supposedly turn the Turtles humans, or so Donnie claimed, so I guess they were regular turtles who evolved from ancient human ancestors.

Or went to a private school that, for reasons we all know, never taught evolution, and then learnt about it later in a newspaper, radio or TV programme.

I remember one old Russian sci-fi series, where human evolved from cockroaches.

Is it sad that metaphorically speaking that might almost be more believable?

Mmhm. But must not be the "humans lived alongside dinosaurs" type since they didn't also work non-alien Triceratons into it. lol Mutagen to bring back "dinosaur ancestors" and mash TMNT together with Jurassic Park... Yeah, I wouldn't trust PD not to try it.

How so? If this is a comment on a human nature, than any other animal except the most primitive ones, are not different from humans. And cockroaches are certainly rather primitive.

Sounds bizarre in the PD universe.
