Official Episode Discussion: #24 "Operation Breakout"
Well, we're finally getting closer to the finale!
Okay, so after a long LONG Looooong hiatus, we're finally jumping back into the storyline. This time, we're tracking down April's Dad, Kirby. You know, the more I look at him, the more suspicious I get of the situation with him and April. Many folks think that April is some sort of hybrid born from something from Dimension X. I think it's the other way around... I'm thinking that Mr Scientist here is a rogue Kraang that got involved with a human, and April is some sort of strange result of it. Or some sort of test tube baby experiment of his. Human technology is too low brow compared to what the Kraang have... why would they bother with a 'primitive' human scientist? 'Cuz he's not human. Whatever the situation is, Donnie amazingly manages to track him down in the depths of tentacle hell. Pretty easy walk through... ((I'd put the guy from Star Wars here hollering 'It's a Trap!", but I think I got beaten to it already... )) Not only does Donnie get to be a hero in this situation, but we're also going to get our first look at a Native X-er emerge from the prison cells to wreak havoc. Neutralizer is interesting... an amphibious mercenary with a taste for intergalactic calamari. Hopefully he's not the poisonous type - or one of the species that have slimy LSD ooze or something seeping from his skin. This show's Mike looks dumb enough to be dared into licking him or something... So we'll see what happens! WILL DONATELLO SAVE DR. KIRBY FROM THE KRAANG?! IS THE NEUTRALIZER ANOTHER ONE EPISODE VISITOR?! WILL KIRBY BE REVEALED TO BE MORE THAN WHAT HE SEEMS?! AND WILL WE SEE WHAT THE HECK IS SHREDDER UP TO DURING ALL THIS?! Stay Tuned!! |

That was AWESOME!!!!!!!!
Man, what an episode!!! so worth the wait!!! Newtralizer ROCKS!!! It looks like for now he will be a threat to our turtle friends. He was an awesome fighter though! He's an alien experiment huh? Maybe he and LH were mutated around the same time... I can't wait to hear his story. Danny Trejo voices him, so he'll get to talk eventually! Kirby is a droid... or some other type of imposter... This is going to be good!!! But oh man... I think what really has me excited is... Spoiler:

To me, it seemed like kirby isnt a robot, or brainwashed, it seemed like he is just in on the kraangs plan, like he was meant to be rescued, so he could lead them to the turtles.

Or Kirby turns out to be a kraang, hence why Mikey's fighting him in the season finale trailer, just so the "rescue Kirby" stuff can go on in season 2.
What do you think? |

This was one of the best epiodes so far in this series hands down.
The fighting was great, April meditating with Splinter, Newtralizer (Can't wait to hear him speak!), Kirby was rescused (or so we think!), Shredder & the Kraang now working together!, April being able to find the Kraang device (which looks like the Turnstone from the Archie series and I still think she is some sort of robot), I seriously thought April was going to find the Ratking after we saw that rat in the sewer. Oh and I liked Mikey's bad driving and the Kraang calling the other an idiot. The only thing I thought we'd see that we didn't was Tim in Don's lab. |

Its really good to see another new episode again! I think Raph and Don have a very realistic brotherly relationship.
Spoiler:
Newtralizer was really cool! I like how he didn't waste any time Absolutely... It's very likely. |

Yay I loved that ep! Donnie was so cute! Mikey: the heart is tender. Squiiiiiiish. April is definitely a Kraang after watching this. And what's up with Kirby? Turned evil or a robot?

This episode was amazing. Haha I loved Donnie's moments in this episode. I also liked how Raphael was trying to make it up to Donnie for embarrassing him. The Newtrailizer was soo cool.
(Mikey's obsession with naming stuff )

Move over The Gauntlet this is officially the best episode of the season.
I'll have more the say later, but right now I'm just going crazy over how awesome that was.

I wonder if Shredder and the Krang will stay allies in season two or beyond or will it more then likely fall apart around the end of this season.

Season Two Description: Season two starts off with a bang when the Turtles accidentally drop a Kraang shipment of mutagen canisters all over NYC. It becomes one of their ongoing goals throughout the season to recover the canisters before more mutants can be created. At the same time, the Kraang and Shredder have united to put an end to the Turtles once and for all – which results in some very scary characters coming after the Turtles. Luckily, the Turtles get some help when the meet teenage hockey player and voluntary vigilante, Casey Jones. With Casey’s help, the Turtles work to fight the bad guys all the while trying to unravel the mystery regarding April O’Neil and her importance to the Kraang. The biggest reveal was a sneak peek at Casey Jones, a rebellious teenager about to be kicked off the hockey team. When he discovers his city is being infiltrated by mutants and aliens, he does what any normal teenager would do – outfits himself with a mask, homemade weapons and takes to the streets as a vigilante. |

Okay, back. This episode did everything The Gauntlet did right by managing to have the perfect mix of suspense, comedy, action, and plot advancement. So much for 24-odd minutes.
Bullet time:
I'm so ready for the finale! Oh, and sorry for double posting.
