Yep. I wanted them to go home with another Lombardi trophy.

I did Cross Country too and that was more fun IMO. I still run but not competitively and play basketball on occasion. I don't really like playing any other sports but I do like watching Football and soccer every once in a while.
You crazy? I ain't running no mile!!

Pssh 1 mile races are easy. But the 2 mile was a combination of endurance patience and speed, some of my most intense races were the 2 and 1 miles.
But good job Patriots. I was rooting for the Seahawks who should have won but whatevs.

I was rooting for Seahawks too But the Patriots still did good I guess.
Didn't they get caught for deflating balls?

"Deflate-gate" was just the most recent scandal the nfl needed to generate headlines. Have you noticed that since the Super Bowl there hasn't been much mention of it?

because the NFL protects the patriots at all costs. They have a history of cheating/questionable behavior, and every time the NFL protects them cause they generate the most money

Yeah, I was disappointed the Pats won, too, as I really wanted the Seahawks to show them up. But despite that, they DID win fair and square so whatever. I still hate them though and really felt the Colts should have been in their place.

Regardless of the outcome here's Tom Brady talking about balls.

And also since the Super Bowl is done there isn't any need for the big headlines. There are other things like the draft and the combine coming up later.

I don't like the Patriots either but what can you do. I'm a long time suffering Jets fan.

I hope the Bulls can beat the Cavs, since they've been ridiculously inconsistent to say the least.

I was really upset that Rose has a tear in his meniscus. Poor guy has been through a lot and it just sucks. When I heard the news I just kind of felt sick to my stomach. Also Patrick Kane has a broken collarbone and is out for the season. Sad day for Chicago indeed.

I never liked Rose because he always came off as whiny to me. The doctors cleared him from that last injury, but he didn't want to play until he was ready. I said, "Get your butt out there and play, idiot!" Hell, Jordan played with a hurt ankle, and he STILL kicked a**. But these players these days just don't get it. That's why I don't watch NBA anymore. It's become a huge joke.

Sucks about Patrick though. Poor guy.

^^ A sore ankle and a meniscus tear/ acl tear are two completely different things. You can't even compare. Sore/ sprained ankles heal in a few days, at most a week and aren't that serious. Hell I've had my fair share of those, they hurt they suck and swell up your foot but ultimately its not too bad.
An ACL holds your knee in place and helps any sort of lateral movement. Without it any explosiveness and movement are next to nill. Its not something you can put a band aid on and walk off. Jeez.
A meniscus is the joint in between your knees that cushions the impact. I agree that I wanted him to play as soon as he was cleared but it sucks that he's been through so much at only 26.
Kane's injury is pretty damn serious as well don't get me wrong, but the good thing is a meniscus tear isn't as bad as an ACL tear, and he's expected to be back by the end of the season. Bad thing is I doubt he'll get his groove back by then and might reinjure himself.
And Jordan was just a special specimen that comes around once in a generation.

Well, I wasn't talking about his current injury but that other one he has. I get that it's serious and all.

An injury like that sometimes messes with your psyche too. It's like some boxers that are knocked out for the first time in their careers and aren't able to ever get their groove back. I do agree that there has to be something mental in that person to help them succeed. Without it it that injury/loss/fear will always be with you, not letting someone be the best that they can be. In Rose's case having 3 debilitating injuries in 4 years calls for some physical as well as mental and even emotional rehab time.
