Just realized that TMNT Season 9 and Sgt. Frog Season 3 Part 2 come out on the same day. August 16th is going to make me a very happy man.

I'd gladly send my VHS's to Lionsgate if I knew they'd get to the right person, and if I knew they acutally cared.

Basic facts are, they changed the source of their episode list and they don't really care about 3 little missing episodes like we do. I've given up on them releasing them years ago, so it's not a big deal to me.

I don't understand how people can be confused about the orders of the DVDs. Granted Season 3 was released in like 4 volumes, but we know its in order.

The only problem is the Euro Vacation eps are on the Season 7 sets, but thankfully separate from the actual Season 7 DVDs. And the 3 skipped eps.

Other than that just watch the eps in the order on the DVDs. It doesn't matter that much on an episode to episode basis.

A bit of a press release summary caption from TVShowsOnDVD:

Quote:
Join the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as they face off against new opponents - the evil Lord Dregg and Hi-tech - while also fighting against their own uncontrollable mutations in the mind-bending Season 9! With the help of Carter, a new ninja ally, Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael, and Donatello struggle to stop Lord Dregg from enslaving Earth, while overcoming Replicon, a battle droid that regenerates after each defeat. Featuring nonstop, sewer to-street action, these eight adventures will leave you wanting more turtle power! Includes 8 Shell-Busting Episodes: The Unknown Ninja, Dregg of the Earth, The Wrath Of Medusa, The New Mutation, The Showdown, Split-Second, Carter the Enforcer, and Doomquest.
Not anything new or exciting, but it still has me hyped up!

Wow, that was a good summary, I hope its on the back of the DVD.

Some people never saw the Lord Dregg eps, so they have no clue what this season is about.

There's a season 3 for Sgt. Frog? O_O I figured it would be finished in 26 eps, a common trend in anime.

About the forgotten 3 Episodes:
I had the chance to look into the "official" Lionsgate Episodelist back in late 2009 when i tried to create a chronological List of Episodes for the german DVD Release of the Show. (which was pretty hard, because I only had 4 Days to do so, but thats another story)

As far as I remember, "Once upon a Time Machine" was listed right after "The Turtles and the Hare" and the "Planet of the Turtleloids 2 Parter" was listed as the Season 5 Finale "Two-Part Primetime Special - Planet of the Turtleloids".

So it could be that OuaTM was overseen, when they redid their Episodelist back in the days, but PotT? No I don't think so!
Maybe they had plans to release it seperatly as a Special DVD, but the plans were scrapped when the DVDs started not to sell as good as hoped?

We'll never know...

All I know is that Lionsgate has them in their "Episodelist" of the Show and maybe even has got the License to release them on DVD...

Maybe we'll know it in late 2011, early 2012?

Hah please. Lionsgate has and never will do anything for the fans. They screwed up the seasons, they screwed up the order, they FORGOT 3 episodes, they had incorrect DVD art, and didn't even remaster any of the episodes, it's all VHS quality.

Lionsgate doesn't give a **** about the fans and never will.

Bingo. If they were in it for the fans none of that would have happened AND we'd already have seasons 9 and 10.

They're releasing this now while the TMNT is "picking up momentum", and season 10 shouldn't be far behind but they're most likely going to sell their distribution rights the second they've milked the TMNT teet dry.

Lol, get over it. The only bad thing they did was somehow skip over three eps.

The seasons have all been released properly, and the order is just fine. The Euro eps aired with Season 7 in the US so can't blame them for that.

Sure the cover art could be more accurate but I don't care. And as for remastering the eps I wouldn't expect any other company to do that either.

I am happy Lionsgate did do as many releases as they did and got the seasons done properly with only a few mistakes here and there.

I don't mind the cover art myself, since it's the EPISODES I'd be looking at, but I do agree that it would have been nice if the Europe Vacation episodes could have been a part of season 4. They take place between "Plan Six from Outerspace" and "Turtles of the Jungle" from season 4, do they not? They aired in the same year as the season 7 episodes, but I'm not sure if they aired AS PART OF season 7.

The episodes may not have been remastered, but that's okay with me too. The picture quality is still watchable.
