Savage Summer (1988 ). Nice read about an old favorite.

Make of it what you will, but Btaun Strowman was used to kerp the fans waiting with anticipation for nothing to keep them focused on Brock Lesnar losing to Roman Reigns without being harsh. Then used Brock to stop the promise of Braun's immediate match so fans would be upswt with the departing Lesnar. Clever useage. I just hope it all goes well in RAW tomorrow.

Hopefully Rousey will not replace Lesnar is the part-time useage holding a title hostage.

It was interesting to use Braun in that way, but it managed to cheapen Reign's "much anticipated" victory and made him look like a fluke victor.

I thought reuniting The Shield to deal with Strauwman was a masterstroke. Everyone knows the 2017 reunion was a disaster due to injuries and ill health, so the reset button when Reigns and Rollins both have gold does the group a world of good. If only there was another title on RAW for Dean to hold (unless he and Rollins take back the tag titles next), Braun's time will come for sure, but they're not going to give it to the fans instantly. They're giving the monster among men a formidable mountain to climb or run through to get to Roman.

I could very well end up enjoying this Roman title reign for once.

And with Kurt on vacation, it's obvious Baron Corbin will likely give Lesnar his rematch at Hell In A Cell

Hmm can't see Mizz getting a title shot, DB might win this.

Kenny Omega is number one in the PWI 500

https://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news...-pwi-500-list/

12 year old Bayley Superfan Izzy Mania had her first pro wrestling match recently, and she even took a chokeslam bump from her adult male opponent, which led to a storm of protest from other professional wrestlers.

I like how people can't see the choke slam isn't the one handed move everything thinks it is. I saw the clip. She was barely hurt if at all.

I work the safest style possible, and I just found out I'm possibly gonna need my f*cking neck fused.

Kids don't belong in the ring. This sh*t is f*cking stupid. I've noticed an upswing in it recently; doesn't make it okay. It's not at all okay.

I'll live. Doctor says I should retire immediately, but I figure I have a few more "easy" ones in me. Because I'm stupid.

But yeah, my neck ain't in great shape. And I initially fractured it around age 15, doing amateur wrestling of all things, so I'm sensitive to this new "fad" of, "Wrestling is fake so anyone who wants to take bumps should take bumps." There's NO "safe" bumps and kids don't belong in the pro wrestling ring, period.

Hmm I take it back then. It's cool to have someone actually in the field giving his input from experience.

Now that I look back, that kid in the Strauman match didn't really do much but stand around and be there. I know the PG Era would never have allowed Cesaro to chokeslam the kid.

I've taken maybe a handful of Chokeslams. Every time, the respective guy giving it liked me a lot and did everything possible to protect me.

That is the worst goddamn bump I've ever taken. Even when they let go nice and low, the whiplash makes your head snap back no matter how tightly you tuck your chin, making it almost impossible to NOT bang your head. To say nothing of the impact, which generally feels like your backbone trying to jump out of your body through your chest.

It only hurts for a bit, but it's the hardest bump I've taken. I don't recommend it. Power Bombs also suck. But the chokeslam has the illusion of being "safe" because it's a flat, clean landing. You're still gonna feel your brain bounce off the inside of your skull, and that's if everything goes right.

No Bueno.

Damn. After reading that, I assume there are some wrestlers that swallow hard when they know they have a match booked against Kane, Undertaker and who ever else does a choke slam.

Imagine how Roman Reigns felt when he was told two guys and later a third will beat the crap out of him for 20 straight minutes, strain and sell it.
