I'm in Australia. Pre-ordered from Popcultcha.

I got a UK first release Donnie.
I received yesterday Leo, Raph and Mike from what I would call the "second wave"? Or re-release? Second production run? Anyway, I've seen loads of Youtube reviews and Instagram pics of these amazing figures but one thing I've just noticed on my Mikey is that his Nunchuks have bendy black wire seperating the handles. I'm certain the first wave had string? Anyone know if wire was used on the first wave, or is this going to be the distinguishing feature between wave 1 and wave 2 Mikeys? I also get the impression on my wave 2's that the headbands are not as bright as what I have seen in videos and pictures.

I thought it was just the SDCC sets that had cord between the 'chuks - pretty sure my Mike is a 1st run and he had the wire.
Not that it matters to me, I replaced the wire with a twin cord like the RL versions. |

Not that I'm worried about it, I'm over the moon to have these amazing figures, especially as I'm starting to realise that NECA tend to only release waves once and when they're gone they're gone. But I was curious as I know my Mikey is 100% a re-release (bought legitimately through Comics and Cocktails) and not from the first release issue.

Typically yes (if you're up for the postage), but there have been restrictions on some items because of what I can only assume are licensing restrictions, such as those NECA has to contend with for Ninja Turtles. But give it a try all the same. They'll let you know if they can't ship an item to the US.
And if they can't, there's no reason an Aussie couldn't order from the site and ship it to you when they release. |

Is Judith Hoag unboxing the SDCC2020 "exclusive" on Twitter?! 😳
Subway mugging is my guess. |

Right now in my popcultcha cart I have all the upcoming preorders from neca that are listed on the AU site. Do you think pre ordering them now from the site would be a better play than waiting to try and poach these off eBay or taking an outside shot that I find them locally? Will I have to wait longer for them from the site compared to when they will show up on eBay? Will eBay prices be substantially higher? Any advice welcome. I just hate how hard some of these things are to obtain. Seems like I’m always at the scalpers mercy. |

You will likely have to wait longer for them though. From memory Rocksteady & Bebop were a good two or three months behind their release in the States. Plus there's the cost of shipping to factor into the equation. |

Ha ha!
😊 I don't even care that it wasn't the reveal I was hoping for. It was fun to revisit those same emotions that unboxing NECA's Turtles stirred in me. |
