As the listing says:

"WHAT IS THIS OLD VINTAGE METAL WALL MOUNTED HOLDER WITH A WOOD BALL INSIDE?"

https://www.ebay.com/itm/27554517738...0AAOSwALZjT0nx

Quote:
THIS MEASURES 7-3/8 INCHES TALL X CLOSE TO 3 INCHES WIDE.

IT HAS A WOOD BALL INSIDE THAT MOVES UP AND DOWN, SO IT SEEMS LIKE IT SHOULD HOLD SOMETHING.

IT IS OLD AND HAS OLD PAINT ON IT. THE BALL WAS EVIDENTLY ORIGINALLY RED.

IT WEIGHS JUST 2.2 OUNCES, SO IT IS NOT CAST IRON OR HEAVY METAL.

Bought a small antique from them and then browsed the rest of their old rustic and vintage stuff... but like the seller, now I'm wondering what that could be and can't come up with any ideas. Anyone ever see one before?

I realize that words can in fact hurt you, but…COME ON:

https://s.wsj.net/public/resources/d...rdlanguage.pdf

I can just imagine them installing a language monitoring system throughout the entire campus like in the movie “Demolition Man.”

What a dumb list.

This is so lame.

You know you're a TMNT fan when you have a regular bag of M&Ms and always notice that Donnie is the only one missing.

Also, it was a very Leo snack size bag... lots of blue, not a single red. Red must have stormed off again.

Has anyone ever made ice cream with Ziploc bags?

I never tried it before.

Realizing it's quite ironic that people call drag queens, etc groomers even for just existing and freak out over that... but no one has bated an eye any time a little girl on some show has sang "Love Me Like You Do," that obviously rather intimate song from frigging "Fifty Shades of Grey." (I've heard little kids singing it on tv a number of times, albeit from the next room.)

I sometimes wonder how long a generation spans.

Usually, it's about two decades, but it can go up to three decades. Personally, twenty five years seems like a good estimate.

Nobody is doing that. They're "freaking out" over the very sick, very weird and sudden (as in the last couple of years) need and practice by the left to parade them in front of kindergartners in "Family Friendly Drag Shows" that schools are inviting the kids to across the country.

This must be the Year of the Turtle instead of the Rabbit. At least for me.

I got to meet Steve Lavigne who was visiting our local comic shop a couple of weeks ago. I’m fixing to meet Rob Paulsen this Saturday at our State’s annual Anime Convention. And Renae Jacobs will be at the same comic shop this April (which is funny considering who she voiced in the Fred Wolf cartoon).

Does anyone else feel simultaneously older and younger?

Like, I feel like I'm thirty, yet I'm actually twenty-five.

It feels weird.

Like that? Luckily no. I wouldn't want to feel older at this age. lol Though at 30+ the reverse is pretty typical, honestly.

I assume because around 25 is supposed to be the end of brain development and whoever someone is then, mentally speaking, is who they will probably be for life.

edit: Why do Triscuit crackers tend to give me hiccups... The Balsamic Vinegar & Basil flavor is worth it, but still... why. lol

Soft french fries, like the store bought kind, sometimes do it, too.

Shockingly enough for me - I have some appreciation for this concept. In both directions.

Randomly ran across my mind that I always thought the black PT Cruiser kinda looked like a pet-sized hearse and still wonder if anyone ever had a pet burial service and used one of those cars...

4/14 -- Netflix Bee and PuppyCat. Not worth a thread just to comment, so just gonna say it here...

Wtf kind of drugs was the creator of that on. Some of those scenes look like they'd have required it. And like those 70s hippie kinda drugs.

Survey fail. Suuure it won't... lol

edit: Anyone else ever do those paid surveys, etc sometimes? If so and if familiar with the company... wtf is up with Quest Mindshare?? Are they just seeing how openly people will lie?

I don't think I've ever been able to complete one of theirs. Have one open now, that I'll yet again have to close, because the first question asks you to select your total assets under management. The choices are:
* $1.0 million - $4.9 million
* $5.0 million - $9.9 million

Next questions on the page are no better.

Their survey questions always seem to target CEOs and other high tier business types, but those people are probably WAY too busy with those frigging careers and not dabbling with their paid survey for pocket cash and killing time.

edit: Ah, the next genius one by someone else started, like many, with asking what state you live in:
* Puerto Rico
* Others

Nice. lol Disqualified, clearly the lazy one behind that is not looking for "others." (Nor aware that the former isn't a state.)

4/29 -- Guess complaining worked, I actually manged do do one of theirs for once. lol

Side note... Ebay being entertaining with weird Photoshopped images choices again. This man is SO over this rubber squid's bull****. Poor guy is trying to work and sitting there like, "OMFG, Squid, will you STOP."

Apparently, there's a controversial video circulating around the web.

It features Jenna Ortega … smoking a cigarette. People are appalled, apparently.

You know, I didn't know that white chocolate (if it can really be called chocolate) has a lower melting point than actual milk chocolate.

Friend had given me some of those Lindor truffles and, after a few hot days, while the milk chocolate was itself rather soft, I had to laugh that the inside (white) was basically liquefied. I'm more of a dark chocolate person though, so at least my bar of that was still solid. lol

There's a horrendous air condition within New York City.

When will its atmosphere improve?
