My Dad passed away

Well, my dad has passed away yesterday. He was pretty ill the past year. I won't lie, I miss him so badly and he was my closest friend. I feel very lost without him. I never knew what it's like to lose a parent and it hurts like hell.

I'll miss you Dad. RIP

I can relate to losing a father. It still crushes me to this day and he passed almost 6 years ago. My condolences to you and everyone that knew your Dad.

It's a hard loss. It never fully goes away - you'll spend the rest of your life processing it, even in some small form or another years from now. But it does get easier to accept over time.

So sorry to hear. Definitely can relate, including illness being involved. Rather surreal to lose a father and go through the passing of the first parent to leave us. Esp when they go too soon. Definitely a scar that can't really heal, but becomes familiar and bearable with time. Condolences to you and your family.

Very sorry to hear that Leo. I know you are hurting right now and it won't be easy to feel right any time soon. Like others said, you will see things and remember things that will remind you of him. Dads are special beings; they can be our providers, mentors, best friends, and our protectors.

It is a sad time when a dad cannot be around anymore, but, he can live through the minds and hearts of those that cherished him.

I'm sorry that you're hurting right now.

Thank you guys, my dad was always my mentor and he was always there for me. I want to feel his presence but I guess it takes some time. I really miss him so badly.
