The synopsis was a bit misleading, he was a sensei of her's. And Shredder's gone, along with the dragon.

I bought the dvd last night at Walmart. While I was disappointed that it didn't come with the digital copy of the episodes this time for Vudu, I think its because the dvd comes with 3 yet unaired episodes. I was worried the demo-dragon arc was going to be a 5 parter, but it was concluded by the end of the dvd thankfully.

Shredder was still basically dead, but yeah, he's been sent back to hell, or the underworld, or whatever. He's not coming back(hopefully, never know with Nick).

Shredder and Rahzar weren't brought back with either method, it was basically just an incantation over their bodies.

I think Rahzar died again too. It shows him falling into a chasm and it never shows him climbing back out. Tigerclaw said he wasn't sure if Kavaxas truly revived Shredder or if he was just using him as his puppet now. At the end Leatherhead says Tigerclaw's called a truce with the TMNT.

So the Mutanimals do appear, I wondered if they were going to appear this season.

Tiger Claw with the Mutanimals in Mikeys imagination in season 4 was foreshadowing then.

Mikey was actually hurt pretty badly. Not "near death" though. Donnie very nearly killed Vizioso in cold blood

Ho Chan makes a reappearance as well. This last 4 episode arc seems the darkest the show has gone yet.
