"Made popular"? That is quite a stretch. It's not like cats were a niche pet before youtube cat videos. The reason why precisely there's so many cat videos and related channels is because a lot of people have cats and there's a lot of cat fans. Therefor there has always been a large audience for it.

For me it's especially difficult to "get in touch" because the trends are different than the US's and are usually already a little behind. It's all whatsapp/facebook here. But yeah, coming here makes me feel a little more in touch than the average member.

Dunno, I just don't care about all this social networks guff and memes and stuff. I have couple of forums and news sites and that's more than enough for me.

Yes ofc young people use Twitter. The social network that makes me think more of older people these days is actually facebook. Although obv young people still use FB, but I think Twitter and Instagram have a bigger propotion of young people and less older people in it, especially IG.

I've honestly only see adults and celebs post on Twitter, no so much kids unless if they're fans of Beiber or whoever is the current favorite to tweet.
