TMNT Classic DVD - Official Release News!!
Lion's Gate/Artisan issued a press release on the coming classic DVD. And it does have good news. The official running time for the release, is 110 minutes. Ensuring that we are getting fully uncut episodes. We have to applaud Lion's Gate/Artisan for listening to the fans and not releasing a flawed cut movie out of the episodes. The press release refers to the release as 'TMNT: Season 1' even though the disc isn't marked as being Season 1. Follow the link to view the final artwork, and read the entire release news.
http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=1123 The DVD has an official release date of April 20th. And an SRP of $14.99. But several on-line E-Tailers have it up for pre-order for under $10. And check back later today, as toy websites finally put up their coverage of Playmate's TMNT merchandise.

That is great news! I know a lot of people don't like the artwork on the cover, but seeing it on a dvd looks really good I think. I'm just so excited for this DVD, and the fact that I can get it for $10!

Ooh, yay! I can't wait for this to come out. I'm so glad it's uncut.
And yes, thanks to Lions Gate/ Artisan for listening to the fans.

Man, I never would have thought we'd get it uncut. Pardon me, but I must let out a big loud...
Whew! We're even getting the episodes in stereo with their original opening and closing sequences. Thank you David Wise!

Count me in as one who's VERY happy about this! As I stated elsewhere, I missed a LOT of the original videos when they came out, and I, for one, am NOT making that mistake again! I'm ALSO glad that the eps WILL be uncut. When they were on USA Network's Cartoon Express years ago, I noticed that they had edited the eps a lot for some reason. Hated that! I'm also grateful to finally get a chance to get some eps that I missed being able to record on video at home after my first VCR Bit the Big One. We've got a new VCR AND a satellite dish, so taping the NEW TMNT series eps off of FoxBox, and then the Cartoon Network when the start showin on there in March, will be a breeze.
Stiil, it's good to hear this news about the original TMNT series eps. I just wish the Powers-That-be would listen to us fans when it come to other cartoon; etc.; series that we like. Like the Biker Mice From Mars or the SWAT Kats, two of my personal fave series besides our Green Teens.
