I totally understand business. And I understand having an extra one to sell. Hell, I'd understand having two or three extra ones to sell but this is just completely out of control. Major side eye to this seller.

We should all report this guy to Neca. It's the only way this guy will end up on their radar.

Lots of probabilities:

1. They're lying. They don't have that stock. Either way, they get the cash now, refunds later if needed.
2. They worked around the system
3. They have employees and got them to buy it up
4. They're planning on securing that many at the show itself

Worst case from their POV is "well, I got a big influx of cash to do some other stuff with before I had to refund what I couldn't fulfill"

Rigged. If I was petty enough (not quite there, but close), I'd buy ten sets and just not pay at the checkout. It'd only cost me a negative rating.

Sellers haven't been able to leave buyers a negative rating in a looooong time.

You could get a strike against your account, though.

It is possible that this person has 12 or more friends that were willing to give up a little of their time to try to order these for them. If just 12 all managed 2 sets over 3 days no rules were broken. Not saying I agree with the practice.

Generally, I'd think that does go against the rules, due to the intention. I'm not sure how explicitly NECA states this and I could be wrong, but I'd think it would be breaking the rules in some sense.

I'm leaning to option 4 now. I just looked, and this person now has 15 sold and still has 10 available.

NECA's rules say two per household. I did think I read somewhere that they were checking for orders to different addresses using the same persons payment method. I figure as long as nobody lives together, and they all paid themselves, no rules were broken. Like I said not really a practice I agree with though.

Isn't it still 3 weeks until sdcc? Seems really risky buying on eBay until it's in the sellers hands.

It is. But if they don't deliver you can always file a claim with ebay.

I doubt that. If they did they represent the company and therefore wouldn't charge scalper price. Maybe a little more for themselves but not twice as much

eBay is 100% pro-buyer. You won't get ripped off. You might miss your chance though, if you ignore other auctions thinking you've gotten it taken care of.

Just confirmed a preorder sale in one of these pretty awesome sets
I wasn’t too concerned about the price, but I’ve had a total inc postage of £150 so I’m good with that.

New Exclusive or What?

Soooooo . . . Who has some intel on what these are exactly? NECA has responded to inquiries via Twitter acknowledging this movie line will continue so I'm wondering if these are some new exclusive or . . . ?

I'm banking on them being individually packaged versions of the SDCC figures.

I wouldn't pre-order until we see pictures or get confirmation from NECA to know for sure.

Yep, they will be the same as SDCC I would bet money, perhaps even with extra accessories or different head sculpts.

And I hope Gamestop makes sure no entitled a$$gnomes get to buy more than ONE EACH because nobody DESERVES more than ONE.

^^ This was snark BTW. I'm glad more people will be able to get them this way, and also, I am gonna get a set too to add to the SDCC ones, making 3 total sets of turtles, and there's nothing anyone can do about it!!!
