It's like doing a Gotham show 1,000 years before Gotham. Nobody is going to care about what is happening and the familiar things you can place back then are only going to piss off the people that do.

That's a good-looking Lobo (I guess?) but...
1. I don't care about Lobo. 2. I don't care about this show. 3. Krypton is Superman's "Gotham", aka "Smallville 2.0", aka "this prequel is stupid."

You sure have a lot of opinions on stuff you don't watch, my son.
Strictly an observation.  I haven't watched it yet either; it's on the DVR. I play games way more than I pay attention to TV.

I'll never understand why they greenlit shows and then put them on obscure cable networks most people will never watch, and then are surprised ratings are low. And nowadays with online streaming eating into cable televisions viewership...I damn near don't know how any shows survive anymore outside of the hugely popular ones.
We're not in 1995 anymore. There's just too much out there now where everyone doesn't watch the same group of shows anymore. |

I disagree, a prequel can be awesome, it can do a lot of world building and do interesting things. The problem is all these shows try to be a superman/batman show without them and adapt storylines from those heroes before the time and it just messes things up. Either stick to it or just make a batman / superman show. Gotham at its best was when it was not doing batman villains but their origins and mobster stuff.
