Bay having anything to do with this movie is FAKE news:

Technically she is. She's 17.

Wait, so Dora the Explorer from a kindergarten-age show can be older, but the Turtles can't? Oh come on.

Weird that she's not a little kid... but I guess maybe they're trying their hand again at nostalgia and the now grown/almost grown former Dora viewers.

Probably trying to hit that middle ground of... recognizable to little kids while not quite making her an adult, and yes, appealing to old Dora fans who are adults as well as hipsters chuckling at the irony of a "getting her hands dirty" older Dora.

Her Spanish is awful, she can't speak it right. Maybe they should've chosen someone who didn't learn Spanish as a second language?

As for the second part Just Google "cual es el peor acento en espaƱol?" And you'll see Peruvian accent ranked as the worst in most pages

EDIT - After re-reading the comment above, I assume that it was meant for the up-coming move. If so, it could have been typed in a different way.

"Well, Dora [gets to have Eva Longoria play the role of Dora's] mom. [Insert your point of view here.]"

They've also just added Michael Pena as Dora's father.

Benicio Del Toro has been cast to voice Swiper. I wonder if the movie will break the fourth wall and tell the audience to say, "Swiper, no swiping!"

This movie looks un-ironically fantastic.

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

I honestly think the theaters are gonna have more Weird Dads In Trenchcoats than a Dick Tracy Convention.

that movie looks great and looks more like Tomb Raider than the latest Tomb Raider movie
their legends of the hidden temple live action movie was also very well made
i just can't believe this exists,

for those who don't know Eugenio Derbez is a huge star in Mexico and will sell tickets on that alone.

I'm dumbfounded by how hilarious and out of place this is for what's supposed to be based off of a preschool cartoon. I'm sold!

It will be fun if this movie will be more of an Indiana Jones / Tomb Raider movie than the last outings in their receptive franchises.

Bonus points if it has a female lead without blaring about GRRRL PWR from all corners.

The Trailer didn't show it. But I wonder if the movie will break the 4th wall like the TV Show? In which Dora ask the audience a question.

I doubt it. It's obvious they're going for an entirely different interpretation and tone from the cartoon series.
