@PartyWolf Thanks, I was so excited that I was actually good at it!

@Freeman Whoa, you're FIRST time? Did you paint other toys before? Because those are great! I love the bases and the slight variations

Yeah, never painted wargames beacause it was too much for my wallet, but can't own a Ninja Turtles board game and not paint them
I first wanted to comission to some painter friends, but their prices were professional good (15h manwork for miniatures aprox) and I could neither afford that.
I've been told many times in the past that given how devoted I am to my goals and how unbareablely picky I am, I'd turn out a good minature painter.
I'm having a lot of difficulties and I'm really scared by Elite Foot masks and turtles skin tones, but so far mousers and minions look very nice ^o^

Allow me a repost to show you my first ever single miniature, introducing Alopex!

This was a lot of work involving some techniques I hadn't used before, but I reached the point where I am so proud of how it turned out I can't stop looking at her

Thank you so much!
I can tell my flaws from very far away, but your comments encourage me to give my best on this crazy (and quite expensive ^_^U) project.
Before I continue with the rest of the single minis, I should have the Bruisers (3) and the Elite Foot (6) done.
Let's go!!

After a big bummer with Elite Foot masks (had to fully depaint all 6 and haven't re-started yet) I'm on a painting hiatus but I thought you'd like to know about this:

Might even be able to include a couple arrow stickers for the rails on the maps. This is all still up in the air, though. Costs will have to be analyzed and such. As for when, it'll be awhile still. I'm not finished with the design yet, so it's at least still 4-6 months out.
Stickers to be put on game rulebook, boards and cards have also been suggested. I think this would save production costs and allow to invest money in more/better components.

Unfortunately, my friends don't get together nearly as often as we used to a few years ago, so we only sat down to play this for the first time on Sunday.

Completely remembered why I loved what I briefly played when I first got it. Love this game. Great mechanics.

Just hired some dude to paint all 75 minis for me. Looking forward to playing with coloured pieces.

Would you recommend this game to someone who is not familiar with the type of gameplay? Is it fairly easy to learn how to play?

There's a fair amount of rules to keep track of for newcomers to be honest. If you're an experienced boardgamer, then it's pretty quick to pick up. The only real unique mechanic to this game is the shared battle dice system which is actually a lot of fun.

If you're unexperienced with boardgames, and just like the TMNT... I still say give it a chance, as its a lot of fun and captures the fun spirit of the turtles, but it may take a few rounds to get into the swing of things. If you're still lost by the end of the first battle map... it's probably not your thing.

I just paid some dude on Facebook a good chunk of cheddar to paint all my minis. He's supposed to have them done by the 22nd... I'll post the pics here when I get them back.

I wonder if it's possible to play Alopex as one of the heroes?

Thanks!! Can't wait to play the game again

The guy who painted them posted some pics on his website... I'll throw them here because they're so much better than the crappy camera on my phone.

Yeah but it's another Kickstarter campaign which is weird considering they promised that the original game would be the only KS with everything else going straight to retail. It also means that it's getting launched in October on KS so we are unlikely to see anything before Christmas. Aussies had to wait a whole lot longer to get the original game so I'm guessing it'll be at least another year before I get to play this.

They stated in the comments that there's a story being why its on Kickstarter and not going straight to retail and they'll fill us in "shortly."

Yeah and the story is "we figured we could make more money and have someone else put up the up-front capital, but we'll phrase it so that it looks like we are doing you all a favour" - lol
