VHS tapes that never got a dvd release
I am trying to make a list of what VHS tapes never made it to a dvd release. So far I got:
1) TMNT Coming out of our Shells tour 2) TMNT We wish you a turtle Christmas 3) Vanilla Ice Ninja Rap 4) The Making of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles behind the scenes Any other ones that people can think of? |

So its basically a bunch of music stuff few would have interest in? I also imagine the licensing with whoever owns the songs prevents stuff like this from being re-released.

For those who don’t know, this is potentially the most rare/forgotten item in the TMNT library

Serious question, is anyone actually bummed that these things don't exist in higher resolution? Like really, does anyone actually want these in DVD quality or higher? To me it kind of sounds like wanting old christian children's propaganda in higher resolution. Leave in VHS quality, it's easier to mock that way.

My point? Only that you could take those VHS tapes and convert them to digital and put 'em on a disc on your home PC and you'd have close to the same thing if you did a good job on it. Besides, most of the stuff mentioned in this thread could actually just be supplemental material on some actual release. |

And I do miss the creative DVD menus. Blurays seem to have gotten rid of those. Popping up a new dvd was always a fun adventure for the menus alone |

Aw, yeah. The menu on the Ghostbusters DVD is classic. Wayne's World was great, too.

I want to say that I have a bootleg DVD of Turtle Tunes and We Wish You a Turtle Christmas, but if I have it it would be buried in a box in storage.

Don't forget the anime OVA episodes of "Mutant Turtles: Superman Legend" were also only available on 2 VHS releases in Japan.

Who currently owns the rights to distribute those specials?
