Focusing on human characters and their families would be a quick way to make me lose interest and bore me.

It could work but the human family would have to be extraordinary in some way. And plot relevant would be nice.

I felt like Robyn would have worked as a replacement Irma, but otherwise, I didn’t really mind. Even with the false hope given about April’s mother, none of the characters knew.
