Well I don't think the show ever aired where I live, and if it did it mustn't have been very successful or it aired in an obscure channel that was lost in the shuffle of foreign cable channels. So that opera and movie you mentioned probably didn't air/show here either.

USA has a lot of big tv shows. Most countries don't have enough tv channels and timeslots to fill in with every major american tv show. Guess this one missed the party here. It happens.

I loved it when they did human interest stories like saving the obese man, the mole people, the marriage of and granting the last wishes of two kids with HIV (both of whom are still alive now) and even an episode dedicated to James Brown. Those are nowhere to be seen nowadays. Sad really, since that's when the show shone for me.

That's fine. Syndication's an odd beast, I think it may be one of those "Germans Love Hasselhoff" kind of deals where it's more popular elsewhere than in the country of origin.

Weird Al Yankovic did devote one of his songs to the show too, so there's that as well.

Here it is, and it's still one of my favorites.

I remember there was a Sailor Moon version of that a decade ago (fan made), it was pretty clever.

That's apparently what they do now.

I bet I could get me one'a them Judge shows. Pretty sure all you need is a Studio parking pass and a black robe.
