That Game Boy just became a Game Woman thanks to a little cartridge slot violation.

Here's a couple of editorials I just wrote. Neither are published yet, so I just wanted to get some opinions. Tell me what you think.
Paper versus Performance This one I wrote to basically tell the graphics whores (albet as polietely as possible) to stick it up their asses. I kinda feel bad because I kad to kick Gamecube a tad to plug Revolution. If you feel it could be improved any, lemme know. Polishing up History This one's my baby. I hope to heaven Nintendo heeds the advice here because there is so damn much potential here. I mean, I try to illistrate the possibilities of the Nintendo Classic download service as best I can. Tell me what could be improved here if you see anything.

The server was being a b*tch last night while I was trying to upload stuff, but it seems to be working now I think.

*edit* I know why the pages wern't loading. Some weather from Hurricane Wilma knocked our servers out. It's fine now though.

Ah, the pages work now. Nice articles, very well written.
I definately agree with your stance on graphics. While they are of course a very important part of games, they should never be the focus, like Sony and Microsoft seem to emphasising (This is not a jab at either company, simply something I noticed). I have to say that from what I've seen of the 'next-gen' graphics, most of it seems to be simply current gen stuff at a higher resolution (With a couple of exceptions - MGS4 for one)...Or maybe I haven't looked hard enough. As for the upgraded classic games, it sounds great, but I wouldn't count on it. Seems like it would be an awful lot of extra work. I could see a couple of big first-party titles getting makeovers though. By the way, 'hand-drawn sprites' is redundant. Sprites are done by hand to begin with.

Well, they were edited by hand, but usually done in a computer. Only around late SNES did they actually start drawing them and scanning them into the game (Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger) and then it became standard after that.

Well, Mecha... TMB and I were just talking a few minutes ago, and here's the idea...
Nintendo uses the 'remake' games as a solid way to train new employees. Nintendo's constantly expanding, and what better way to break people in by having them submerged in a game they know well, with a list of things to add, change, or overhaul? I think it'd work wonders. That would also mean that employes at Nintendo arn't starting off on a project like Twilight Princess. |

Yeah, which means no more s*itty flagship franchise titles from peopl who don't know what they're doing. It's an excellent idea, and one I'd be suprised if they aren't already utilizing.

By the way, wasn't there some way that starting developers could upload their own projects onto the Rev's download service? Coulda sworn I heard something about that. And that NeoDouble thing is hilarious. I want to play Street Fighter Soccer. *E* ...Did I seriously type 'their' instead of 'there'?

I'd be up for a mario kart tournament but I don't think I'll have access to WiFi that weekend since I'll be out of town visiting old people.

mcdonalds, mcdonalds, mcdonalds... and.... mcdonalds.
starbucks, starbucks, starbucks... and... starbucks. indie coffee houses... screw it, i'm not typing that 4 times. Anywhere with wifi access should allow you to connect (possibly for a small fee, usually just a few bucks). |

Starbucks is free if you have T Mobile. If you don't, you get it free for a day, and then you pay a large sum of money.
However, our assistant manager is a total jerk loser who plays his DS all the time, and will have a laptop with the WIFI hookup on it. You might just get lucky... |
