April appeared too much in the old series so I really don't care If she appears frequently here.

I was disappointed that after Baxter broke Don's bo, he didn't say, "That was my favorite bo."

Would have been a nice nod the the OT, much like Mikey humming the theme song in the same ep.

Awesome episode! I loved the part where he was on TV and someone offscreen said "Is that Baxter Stockman?"

I guess they did it to save on animation costs. Wouldn't be surprised to see him again selling ice cream in the streets

Really? Just for that? Mikey humming the original TMNT song was more than enough for me.

Maybe if you stopped wanting the NEW series to be like the old ones you wouldn't be so disappointed.

That would actually be pretty funny if it became a running gag.

Did anyone else notice that Mikey didn't say "Hey, I can see a pizza place from up here" when he was hanging from the wire?

Actually I was waiting for him to say that, but maybe it happens in another episode or it was removed.

I guess it got ditched. Maybe it would've broken the flow of excitement. They way the final scene played out, there was no time for it.

Dang it. I just ate pizza yesterday, and I want it again...

They can't all be (nor would I want them to be), but so far, I'm noting a definitive trend when it comes to the non-Foot, non-Kraang villains we've seen so far, in that the only threat they pose comes from the fact that they're physically powerful, not because they're skilled. Combined with their general lack of motivation, it makes them feel like characters with a rather limited shelf-life, akin to those Teen Titans villains who only appeared when they needed a fight scene.

Probably the weakest episode so far. More thoughts later.

Baxter's motivation was shallow so I hope he's fleshed out more in his next appearance which is apparently soon.

Sean Astin is well on his way to being my second favorite Raph.

"Seen this enough times there, chief?" shouldn't have made me laugh like it did.

Overall, a very good episode.

Favorite quotes:

Splinter: How many times have I told you not to skateboard in the Lair?
Mikey: None, Sensei.
Splinter: You should not have to be told.

Leo: Maybe he's gong to church.
Raph: With battle powered armor? What kind of church is that?
Mikey: A really awesome one.

Leo: Halt, villain!
Raph: Halt, villain? Seriously, when did we start talkin' like that?
Leo: We're heroes. It's how heroes talk.
yeah those quotes were great. and agreed, overall very well done. I'm totally loving this series

I really enjoyed the episode. The way the show is handling the characters to me is interesting. They are really starting at the roots of each character, like Baxter today and I think we are going to see them grow. Baxter might have been kind of a silly, loser today but you see potential for him to grow into a genuine villain.

I also find myself each week loving the Nick version of Leo more and more. He's just such a huge dork and thats such a great character attribute for him. His obsession with sci-fi is something completely new for him but it works so well. I also loved his mistake with the beehive and seeing just how much of a kid Leo is and it makes me so excited to actually witness his character growth over the course of this series!

I am surprised by the amount of people both on here and on Tumble that are wanting more April. Nothing against her character I like her, but I guess I am more concerned with seeing the guys fleshed out some more before I personally start to care about her I guess.

God, I love this show.

Not reading the rest of the thread, but did anyone else notice that when they chopped off Baxters arm it turned into the crawler droid from Turtles In Time? Mikey even got electrocuted with the same special effects!

Thought that was one hell of an awesome, yet subtle nod.
