I’ve watched a few episodes and can’t even remember. Do the Turtles actually have the Renaissance artist names buried deep in the story somewhere, or are their names actually just Mikey and Donnie and stuff now?

There's a lot of things that have gone unexplained or left unclear. What we do know is that these episodes have aired out of order and we don't have access to the production codes to figure out what the correct one is, what's even stranger is that the official episode numbers are also out of whack with airings and continuity.

So for all we know, there is an episode explaining that and it could very well be an early episode according to the production codes, it's just going to air at least a quarter-way through the season.

The Oozequitos broke out in episode 1 but haven't been dealt with in any other capacity than as an explaination for where all the mutants came from (barely). Given that it's deemed an important enough episode to warrant taking up segments, it might have been intended to air very early on, but it still ended up as episode 17.

Regarding the episodes out of order, Andy Suriano said on Twitter that only two eps were flipped by accident but that other then those they were and will be in order.

Hope maybe the one dealing with the Oozequitos will be the start of a little bit of real continuity of story?

It's kind of lame that it will have taken this long to get back to it. What, does it finally occur to the Turtles that they and April technically let them loose on the city when the swarm followed them out? Not that the villain wasn't going free them anyhow (I guess?), but you'd think they might realize that they accidentally had something to do with it.

Man the lack of episode discussion this series generates is sad. Really missing the way it was with the last one, with most eager to put in their two cents (or ten). I know maybe not everyone here can see it the same day so that's probably part of it, but even still, most of these eps offer so little that's even worth discussing or is limited.

i havn't even bothered watching past the first episode.

It's just not for me. and the total disappointment of the last series, that could have been great, but was squandered, drained me of caring about this one as soon as the art was released.

i'm content with reruns of 87 and 03.

Well I guess it's nice to see this show is making better use of it's villains than the last show ever did. Really helps sell the illusion that they weren't just created to fill out a toyline.

I mean seriously, not counting the Foot Clan or Kraang, the Rat King was the only villain to appear twice in the first season.
