I was quite clear about this being an alcohol-specific thread.

Eh, worse misunderstandings have ensued.
Like people thinking Dirty_Blond was on his period... Still, though. Painfully bluntly clear that this was alcoholic-specific.

Used to be a vodka guy. Straight, mixed, flavored, anything. Then had a rather unpleasant experience...
Now, Rum and Coke is my go to.

You can get alcoholic slushies. I don’t know why, but they definitely exist.

Uh...Margheritas on a technicality?
Rum and coke is another one I enjoy. Can't do rum on its own, but I love it as a mixer. I will always treasure the opportunity I had shortly after I turned 21, when I opened the cabinet in hopes of getting a rum and coke, only to find there wasn't any rum. And I knew right in that moment, it was time. To my family in the living room, I exclaimed, "Why is the rum gone?!" I've never been more proud to quote a movie than in that moment.

I -almost- didn't get my first drink simply because I was an idiot for not bringing my ID. Thankfully my folks were with me, and they vouched for me as we celebrated my 21st birthday at the Outback Steakhouse restaurant.
I didn't have much of a tolerance back then, and I fell asleep under our Christmas tree after we came home. Needless to say, my father found that amusing - I woke up just to find him snickering at me in our living room.

Southern Comfort or hard cider on the rare occasion that I crave something alcoholic.
Otherwise it's Virgil's draft root beer or cream soda. |

I suppose so - I was thinking more of the cocktail slushies you can get that come out of slushi machines.

Anyone ever drink Burnett's flavored vodka? It's Satan in a bottle. I drank it a lot when a was a destitute 19-20 year old.

Vodka already has a flavour; tastes like acetone.

I tend to drink beer most often, but I far prefer liquor. Cuba Libres are my favorite (that's a rum and coke with lime, to those who don't know) but sometimes I'll go for rum and pineapple juice if I need my Vitamin C for the day. And when I feel like getting really sh!tty I'll get drunk on White Russians. Alcohol and dairy is an awfully unhealthy combo, but what can I say? The dude abides

The Dude abides... how about that?
What kind of rum do you use in those? I met these Dominicans while working in Long Island, and became fast friends with my tiny Spanish vocabulary. They got me hooked on Brugal. Good stuff. |
