Problem Uploading Videos To YouTube - Help?

So I've never had a problem uploading videos to YouTube, although the last thing I uploaded was a couple months ago. Anyways, I tried 5 times to upload my match from last night to my Channel and it refuses to work. The first couple times it cut the video in half and only published the first part. Tried changing the file format to the one YouTube specifically suggests and says works best: "Failed To Process."

I looked around online, and apparently for at least a year people are having this problem unless they download an App to their phone and upload through there. It was apparently only happening to some people, but after January 1st of this year and some kind of format change it's become a lot more common. Like a LOT more common. It's as though YouTube/Google specifically won't let you upload anything unless you use their stupid App.

Given all the stuff in the news about them putting spying and tracking software on everyone's phones, I'm not inclined to do that. Does anyone have any other suggestions on how I can get this to work? Again, if I use the file format YouTube suggests, it refuses to Process it. If I use another format, it uploads it but cuts it off at the halfway point.

The only suggestion I've found by Googling is, "Download the App and then it works fine", but as I said, I really don't want to do that. And frankly I shouldn't have to.

Forgot to mention, just for the hell of it I tried to do it through the "Classic" settings, no difference whatsoever.

My wife and I are working on several things we were planning to upload in the near future, so this is incredibly annoying and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Old story, Leo. If you want to use their service you have to follow their rules. There could be workarounds and I hope someone here can help, but those workarounds could be taken down anytime in the future if the service's owner wants so. Nothing we can do about it, that's the deal. And I hate it.

Could actually be a different problem. Apparently my wife tried uploading it to different websites and it gets cut in half no matter what. So it might not even be a YouTube problem. Very, very strange.

Something in the video. Maybe it got saved funky. You could try converting it to something else and try to reupload it.

Jeeze. I really don't have any theories, then. Maybe open a Vimeo and see if it uploads there at all?

((Shrug)) She's working on it. I'm at work so I have other things on my mind at present. Just annoying.

Maybe your internet provider is limiting your upload traffic?
