Ugh. UGH. UGH.

It's like a Platinum Dunes Ninja Turtle mixed with College Humor's Donatello mixed with Joel Schumacher's Bane.

What did we do deserve this? Haven't we suffered enough already?

Yikes, yikes and more yikes.

On the plus side... eh, it looks like they had a lot of fun working on this?

I don't mind seeing Bebop and Rocksteady around this or that peripherally because that's just the way it is right now... but Bebop and Rocksteady AND like the worst possible version of Bane, like my favorite comic book villain ever in anything? Now that's making it personal.

You know what I'd like to see some day? Bebop and Rocksteady in a sort of Flowers for Algernon story. Yes, I know Marvel did it first with Flowers for Rhino, but that doesn't make it any less interesting of a concept to see those two actually have a brain behind all that brawn. You know what they don't need? More brawn. They're already frickin' powerhouses. How does Venom improve on that, exactly? This is just dumb. Dumb, dumb, dumb. I'll still read it, because I'm just as dumb, but it's dumb. Like, Donatello-hopped-up-on-Venom dumb. Oh, wait...

Maybe Bane will get foiled by a Reverse Venom Spectrometer invented by Detox Donnie and distributed over the city by the Turtle Blimp while Robin and Raph get into a pizza food fight with Bebop and Rocksteady. And then April will report it all to Channel 6 News.

Honestly that sounds better then how this is going to really end...sigh TMNT with Batman has such great potential and it has been wasted.

Dark Knight Rises Bane was almost as bad. His voice was comical, Tom Hardy played a completely different character.

Dark Knight Rises Bane was probably the most accurate depiction of Bane ever outside of the comics. Everywhere else he's a brawny powerhouse who uses venom at the drop of a hat.

I agree. Dark Knight Rises took a ton of liberties with the character (not the least of which was white-washing him from Latino, removing his origin and giving it to Talia, and making him an underling by the end of the movie) but it did succeed in 99% redeeming the stink of B&R Bane, showing him as a smart, calculating anti-Batman as he was always designed to be.

Brawn, brains, driven, ferocious, analytical, cunning.

Just a weird visual redesign, but other than that, Bane.

I wonder if Venom-addict Donatello found another belt and strap to accommodate his bulkier form or if the one he had was simply built to stretch and resize.
