Just received the 3 page (pencilled & inked) prologue from Dan Berger... all I can say is wow. This guy never ceases to amaze me. He has brought a real touching sense of solace to these pages that instantly sets the tone.

Good to hear, though I can't say I'm surprised. He's not a treasured part of the turtles history for nothin'.
Nice to see the ball still rolling.

I wouldn't mind a super small sneak peak either, like just a face. Don't show the whole thing like ya did with the X-mas story.

Despite all the complaining people did about Vol. 4 back in the day, I really do miss it, even with the bizarre plotlines from PL and Lawson's art. I guess its true what they say, that you never know what you have until its gone. |

Also, here's a little very rough sample from one of Dan's panels of me trying a technique using Photoshop to replicate the duotoning from duoshade paper that he advised me about.

GASP!!! Nonetheless very excited for Odyssey. Saw it on the back of the #24 digital issue... NOW EVEN MORE STOKED.
I guess this explains why Mikey's always missing in the future... sigh. Last edited by Lampy; 04-08-2012 at 09:23 AM. |

Spoiler:
Wow, that really does make a difference! It's nice to see that even in today's world of digital shading, some semblence of the classic look is still possible.

Nice preview! Duo tones look good as well.
Is that the "middle age" Leo from the Loops 2-parter? The belt style matches but the shin and forearm wraps are new. |

It's a Leo from around that time, yes. Give or take 5 years.
