If it had too much fabric, could end up feeling a bit like a Doll. The plastic will make it feel more like an action figure.

Okay, anyone who would think this is Shredder doesn't know the movies well at all. It is clear this figure is painted black and those arm guards are clearly that of a Foot Soldier fro the film. Furthermore, for those who may be unfamiliar NECA's comments when this image was posted clearly reveal this as a Foot Soldier. Just saying I don't understand where there could be any confusion or the need to question the character.

Okay, anyone who would think this sculpt wouldn't also be used for Shredder doesn't know the movies well at all. It is clear the Foot Soldier costumes and base Shredder costume are from the same pattern with different colors. Just saying I don't understand where there could be any confusion or need to question the previous poster.

Was hoping for fabric costumes on The Foot and Shredder, I guess not.
Why was ppl thinking it would be a full cloth costume? Neca hs never done an full cloth 1/4 figure. Just coats and capes. I'm perfectly happy with sculpted. Don't have to worryabout tears, rips, flaking ect. Just because Raph had an cloth coat didn't mean anything. NECAs done cloth coats before Raph.

Exactlu. I don't think the foot nor Shredder would of looked good next to the Turtles with cloth costumes. Neca isn't high end. So expecting fully cloth costumes was ridiculous.

I envisioned cloth like the old school GI Joe's

Hopefully we get a removable bandana

I'm happy either way though.

My guess is still cloth bandana tail, sculpted bandana around the head. Just like the turtles. With that sculpt, I'll be ecstatic with whatever they pick.

Great Detail, so heavy body paint is the actual brand they use to paint figures at neca or only prototypes ?
Im glad its not clothes, I would definitely not want shredder and soldiers to look like this :

That looks like action man 10$ figure with mask

Fully soft goods would have jacked the price up a lot more then the original $100 price tag.

Exactly... And I hear enough horror stories from Hot Toys and their soft goods... Flaking, rotting, stiches coming undone, Permeant bends in the clothing if in an pose for too long, restricted articulation... No Thanks.

In all honestly I prefer sculpted clothing over real cloth unless it's an cape or an Jacket....

Looks really good so far. Hopefully with the money saved reusing the foot/shredder we can get Splinter or Casey. I can see Splinter being in soft goods since the entire puppet is just wearing a rag

His coat would be soft goods, but his fur would be sculpted.

Given how they've never, ever done a Splinter in like a decade of doing TMNT figures, I wouldn't bet on getting anything at all

NECA only likes to do figures that they can repaint 500 times. I love what they do, but their (so-far) very reluctant behavior to build out a line is really disappointing.

Maybe q scale has a chance now that they can shrink them for their new line too.
