I'm surprised that she's making a return in the first place, this show trends to forget a lot of stuff, including characters. So I wouldn't count on an explanation or anything.

I found it odd that Michelangelo crushed on Renet at first then crushed on Shinigami. Is that a thing nowdays, having two crushes at once? Seems very odd to me, as if a mutant turtle crushing on humans wasnt odd enough. Maybe itll be mentioned when Renet appears again.

Mikey's crush with Renet is more like puppy love and he knows that it won't work out with Renet because they both live in different time lines.

Mikey's crush with Shinigami is a normal crush and he thinks he does a chance with her.

Here's hoping Renet and Shinigami are around at the same time, but I doubt that'll happen. lol

Anyway, yeah, I viewed Mikey's crush on Renet like Puppylove too and he logically knows he doesn't have a chance, more than likely.

I don't like the cross species ship for either of them but if I had to go with one, I pick Mikey/Renet since it doesn't seem as forced to me. I think their personalities also match better.

I don't think they've forgotten anything about that at all, really. But I suppose we'll find out when Renet's eps air.

If you go by IDW, it's the same Renet in every timeline and universe.

This is by far my least favorite thing in that entire series.

Renet is a timestress so she can exist in multiple timelines.

As for Mikey's crushes, I think it's cute and Renet did say that she was too old for Mikey so that's why he was crushing on Shini. I prefer he be with Shini since she seems to like him too.

That makes, no sense. Even if that were true, the 2k3 version would have remembered experiencing being stranded in the past in the Mirage comics.

Mikey/Shinigami is my least favourite of all the turtle ships. I think Mikey should've been the one turtle who doesn't have a crush like how in the OT, Donatello is the only turtle who doesn't develop a specific crush.

But I don't mind the Mikey/Renet interactions since as others said, its more of pupplylove than a crush and I think their personalities are more alike.

2012 Renet is from the future of Earth. So Earth being swallowed by a black hole would have prevented her from existing. Does that answer your question?

But didn't the earth technically not get swallowed at all since the turtles went back in time and saved it.
