Here's a new featurette about the movie using IMAX cameras, apparently 98% of The Last Knight was shot in IMAX 3D.

I wonder when the critics embargo lifts, it must be either tonight or tomorrow as it's out on Wednesday.

Or maybe it was never screened for them at all. Come on, we all know what they're gonna say about it, so what's the point?

What's the point for any movie, really, but that's another discussion.

These movies are pretty insulting to the brand, have poor plot, and lots of gratuitous violence.
That being said, there's nothing wrong with turning off your brain once in a while and seeing these things. My whole family went to see the 1st one in theaters and since then it's sort of been a tradition that we go see the new one whenever they come out. They probably enjoy these things more than I do, but I really enjoy the experience of being with them. So we're thinking of going this Thursday. Time to see what new lows they'll reach.

The movie is having its premiere in Chicago tomorrow, So we can probably expect some reactions later that night, so check on Twitter and so on.

Not to Hasbro however, they see these movies to sell more Transformer toys, so I don't think they care about the quality of these movies, as long as they keep churning up Transformers movies, Hasbro will be selling the toys for it.

I'm gonna see the movie on Saturday and in 3D of course, the only way to see these type of movies.

He said that with Dark side of the Moon and AOE but you never know 3rd times the charm.

But who's doing the the Bumblebee spin off, if Bay isn't doing it.

Andre posted a video about The Last Knight, 5 good things about it, It's not a review, but he will do one eventually.

He also said the crowd he saw the movie with, was into the movie, so either way, this movie will do a ton of money regardless of bad reviews.

This might've been posted before here, but Nostalgia Critic did a "Non-review" of the film, it was pretty funny, here's the link (since I can't get the Youtube plugin to work)

Insane. I've never seen Age of Extinction until just now on FX... it's bad. Like, b-movie bad. They clearly gutted the CGI budget.

Just got back from watching this "film".
My god, where do I even begin?
This was easily the WORST Transformers film yet. They somehow managed to top all the other ones in their level of horribleness.

During the last hour or so I just wanted it to end, but it WOULDN'T.

Also I went in my G1 t-shirt just to represent the actual Transformers :P

Spoiler:
This movie also took A LOT from Transformers the Movie.

Things I hated/made no sense/were horrible about this movie:
Spoiler:
*Megatron suddenly being Megatron again. In the last film he was left as Galvatron and there's no explanation given AT ALL as to why he's suddenly back to normal. I suppose you could say he refused to be in the form that humans made for him or adopt their name, but that'd be putting more thought into it than THEY did. Really lazy writing.

*Humans as usual take center stage in a movie that's SUPPOSED to be about the freaking TRANSFORMERS. At times it felt like you were watching a completely unrelated movie.

*Dinobots felt like add-ons. They only show Grimlock and the triceratops one (for like two seconds) and they never switch from their alt-modes. Grimlock acts like some kind of dog, and it isn't funny. Plus, the mini-Dinobots were just there. They served no purpose and as usual no explanation was given for their sudden appearance. Then they all disappear for the whole ending. :/

*Nemesis Prime. Pffffft, AS IF! Stupid and unnecessary.

*This film took itself WAAAY to seriously. It tried really hard to explain things and tie things together, even things from previous films. All the while forgetting to explain actual important stuff. *sigh*

*LOADS of exposition being dumped on you. It's all incredibly boring and you just want it to end.

*Optimus Prime wasn't even in half the movie. He takes forever to show up to Earth, just to pull some "betrayl" garbage, he gets back to normal, and then he just saves the day as usual (all the while only switching to his alt-mode only ONCE).

*Veeeery convenient that those two humans happen to be the ones they need to save the world.

*There's gonna be another one. BECAUSE OF COURSE THERE WILL BE!!!

*Megatron survives. There wouldn't be another sequel without him as they villain would there?

*Unnecessary introduction to Decepticons that die shortly after.

*Romance felt completely forced.

*Childish humor and unnecessary swearing from EVERYBODY.

*Unicron is suddenly Earth??? What???? How does that...what???

*How the FRIG was Bumblebee in WWII (or whatever)? Wasn't it established in the first film that was his first time on Earth?

*Bumblebee's voice comes back at the right moment because the plot called for it.

*MANY underused characters. Mainly the new Autobots from the last film and Hot Rod (who was ok).

*Random Transformers who do NOTHING and show up from nowhere. That construction vehicle in the junkyard that suddenly appears, transforms and then vanishes. That old tank Transformer who was ony there to make a joke about robot-dementia (WTF???). Also that old Transformer who just falls over.

*Annoying kid characters.

*Quientessa was lame.

Things I liked/thought were neat or ok:
Spoiler:
*Sam Witwicky's small cameo. His fate is sort of revealed (as that one lady is said to be the last one, blah, blah, blah), and it's pretty obvious he died. Poor Shia LaBeouf keeps getting screwed eh?

*Starscreams head making an appearance. There was an interesting little moment where Megatron reminisces about his "treacherous old friend" that I actually liked. These films really needed Starscream. He was one of the characters I felt they did a bit of justice to, and he always added some much needed tension between the Decepticon ranks. Ah well.

*Megatron looks vaguely like his G1 self. Complete with bucket-head and fusion cannon. :)

*Wheelie is back! With no explanation! But he's back! (Now what happened to Brains, I wonder).

*Quintessons getting some modern day representation (sort of). It was neat, I guess.

*Shockwave getting namedropped. You can never have enough Shockwave. Ever.

Say what you will about these movies, but they delivered on the spectacle, I need reasons to go the movies after all, and the Transformers movies delivers on the action and spectacle of it all.
