Yeah, this one was a bit hellbent on being "silly" and it didn't always work for me. The extended cut-away gag where they hypothesize about going to the old lady's house and jumping her to get the key back felt like something out of Family Guy.

Movie's fine but it's definitely the fourth-best in the series by a pretty wide margin.

Man, that's exactly what those "jump the old lady" scenes felt like. Weird.

I think Gabby was one of the best characters and plots in any of the Toy Story movies, but she was stuck in the least good Toy Story movie.

I don’t like the way Buzz was handled in this movie at all. In all the previous ones he was co-star with Woody, this one made him feel like a secondary character. Likewise where did the whole, “Listen to your inner voice” thing come from? Buzz never had to do that in previous movies.

Other than how Buzz was handled the rest of the movie was fine I guess, thank god the majority of it wasn’t about Forky like I feared. Still kind of weird toys are sentient creatures that can just go travel the world without any kids around them. Woody separating from the gang is sad but they can meet up again I guess.

I personally liked Toy story 4 more than the 3rd film.

Maybe its just because I found Bo Peep's absence from the 3rd to be jarring, even though it did a better job of giving the main characters more spotlight than 4.

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

Toy Story 4 is such a horrible soulless cash grab of a movie sequel. Good characters acting out of character and/or hardly in it at all, bad new characters, bad story, and stupid ending. Also the third one was such a great way to end the movie series and wish it stayed that way.

I think the black comedic voice actors for the two new stuffed bears felt like something out of a parody than something out of Toy Story. I agree it felt kinda like Family guy whenever they were on-screen. I don’t know, but black actors making jokes and imagining cut away scenarios doesn’t fit this franchise. I have no problem with black voice actors in general but not when they’re speaking jive in a kids movie.

You don't even know who voiced them, do you?

First thing I said was "Those two remind me of the goddamn crows in Dumbo."

Director Josh Cooley and script-writer Stephany Folsom did a new interview about the film.
