Who would be a good cast for April and Casey?

Who would you believe could play a good April O' Neil and Casey Jones on film and why? Whether it's based on Mirage, IDW, or something different? You can name multiple actors if you'd like?

I have a dream that one day Jasika Nicole will play April.

In my dream adaptation, Rosario Dawson or Christina Hendricks for April.

Good lord, the new MCU Punisher Jon Bernthal with long stringy hair would be a fantastic Casey, but eh... too close to Punisher. Ideally, someone that could channel DeNiro in Taxi Driver.

If Jon Hamm were 10 years younger, I'd see him as a perfect Casey Jones. He was killer in Baby Driver.

I like these choices...

Maybe a young Maya Rudolph or Bryce Dallas Howard for April. They'd have to be able to sell a certain comedic aspect to offset the gritty ninja stuff and bring an authentic kind of humanity to the role, IMHO. After she hit the gym a bit, maybe Aidy Bryant from SNL.

If he played the character with a rough edge, I'd honestly be interested in seeing Tobey Maguire's take on Casey Jones. Hopefully it would be something like the darker bits he had in the Spider-Man movies, along with maybe a stronger NY accent. If not him, then maybe Edward Norton, a young De Niro or Clint Eastwood circa the first Dirty Harry.

Look at this screen test for the first Spider-Man and imagine him holding some hockey gear.

Profanity warning for this scene from Brothers (2009).
