I wish I could afford the iPad Pro with pen, I'd love to draw digitally wherever I go and I wouldn't be bound to the limited area where my computer is stationed.

Maaan, ain't that the truth?
I'd be happy with a desktop for home and a tablet to take out with me. I'd prefer a "work wherever I go" aspect to Graphic Design. I wonder if I should make a Random thoughts: TMNT Edition thread. I'm sure we all think of things that probably aren't worth making an entire thread for, but still worth saying.

I reluctantly used Windows 10 on my work PC. SO FAR...it's good. I can use firefox just fine. I havn't seen any targeted ads pop up. And the Windows Updates aren't as frequent as I thought it would be. If They got rid of the forced spying, ads, and forced updates, i'd probably upgrade to ten on all pcs. |

I dunno, my pc hasn't been the same since i upgraded to 10. It sucks, quite frankly. I added Firefox, but it won't load pages on my new phone's net-tether half the time because it says there is no connection, while other pages load just fine. But it works fine on Mr D.s phone's tether, even though they are both Galaxys. (He has a Core Prime, I have a Luna.)

is there some kind of disease going around where, if you dislike some women lead movies, people automatically think you're a woman hater and come at you with all kinds of vitrol and unreasonable hate??
It literally comes out of the blue with some people, and other times, it slowly creeps up with them. and it's always the same MO too....almost down to a T. rather weird symbiosis. |

If you don't feel like that's the case, name five movies starring women you enjoyed.

But is it random movies not liked, or does it tend to be certain genre(s)...?
I mean, if a guy generally didn't like women being leads in the FUN, actiony, sci-fi-ish, pop culture-ish, etc kind of movies, but liked them just fine in more stereotypical things, like a few "chick flicks" he might enjoy, then yeah, that's kind of annoying. Maybe when people don't like a film they should just stick to the fact they didn't enjoy it, or what about it they didn't like, and leave out the gender of characters or people who made it. |

I don't even think I can name three MOVIES period that I've enjoyed in the last few years. let alone women lead movies.
Wonder Woman is one. I'd rewatch that more than once. The Worst Witch is still a perennial favorite taken out every halloween. Brave is one of the few newer movies that's on the rewatch list. Contact was pretty damn cool. Chasing Papi is an under rated classic. and you can't go wrong with classics like Marry Poppins, BedKnobs and BroomSticks, and Sleeping Beauty. but those are easy answers. those are all i can think of off the hat at the moment. |

I wonder if anyone would use a 'What did you learn in the world today, buddy?'
thread. Today I learned, use the plant joke wisely . |

Especially leeches.
It's pretty ironic how businesses can get a stick up their rear about stupid stuff, yet ignore needed changes/improvements that might actually matter and be for the best. Case in point, how the district manager might get after in-store managers to put more of a push on making sure the counters where returned items (or those customers changed their minds on) are cleaned up will and don't pile up. (Which can be REALLY hard to keep from piling up when we're always short handed. ) As if customers actually give a crap about this. And I've recently seen proof that they absolutely do not. We're no longer using any registers on the second floor. Two of the counters have been removed, and the third now lacks the monitor and computer. That counter is now more of a place just for us to work from when putting away returns, etc. And now that the store is closing and liquidating it tends to be a disaster. There's stuff all over the counter top AND bakers racks full of returns literally blocking customer access to this counter. AND a big box of hangers where a cashier would need to stand. And yet they STILL won't stop asking if that register is open. (Come on, if it was, wouldn't there be a line?? And accessible?) Even with an absolute disaster and mountain of stuff in the way they still do not care! Last edited by IndigoErth; 01-28-2018 at 12:11 PM. |

Message them, just to say hi. I messaged a member who vanished, I didn't want to come across as being nosy but I was just checking she was okay. Anyway, she didn't reply but the members you wonder about may log on still.
