Gah. No. I wasn't wild about Roman being the guy to retire him, but you know, it fits and it's as good as anything else. He's going to be the guy for years whether anyone likes it or not. It makes sense. I hope this is just one of the rumors that doesn't pan out, because I don't want this to become a "Ric Flair in TNA" thing where 'Taker is wrestling long past what looked like retirement and past the point he could still go. As it was, in the match last year, he looked done. Like he just couldn't do it anymore.

I don't think that's what's up, it's just a bunch of unfortunate events coming together at the same time. They need the titles off The Bar because Sheamus has been dealing with a serious spinal injury for half a year - we're talking the s*** that made Stone Cold and Edge retire early - and he needs to take time off to rest and get himself fixed. Problem is, Dean Ambrose just went down with his first injury since joining WWE. So they threw this together, likely ending in Jordan turning on Rollins down the line. I imagine they get punked by The Revival at the Rumble or Fastlane, so I'm guessing this is a transitional champions thing.
