Coyote vs Acme

We're getting a new Loony Toon movie, but it's not Space Jam 2, instead the focus is on Wile. E Coyote going up against the very company he purchases his road runner-snaring equipment from!

That’s cool. Seems like it should have happened a long time ago. So I guess at the Coyote will talk and whoever the Acme people are. He’s talked before in old bugs bunny cartoons.

I figured that Wile E. Coyote would have given up on Acme due to constantly losing his chances for a roadrunner dinner to the same company brand contraptions, that, would have a weird tendency to constantly backfire on him.

I knew that a gag was in store whenever the Acme label was displayed for another Wile E. scheme.

I'm wondering if this Wile E. vs. Acme idea will turn out to be a five minute short before an actual movie begins. I can vouch for that possibility since I saw this short (that was part of an actual episode) before the movie started.

*8 year old me screaming in the depths of my soul*

So...I loved the Roadrunner cartoons when I was tiny.

To the point that was the theme for my eighth birthday. It was rad. We made a paper mache acme bomb for a pinata. The cake was shaped like a canyon.

The coyote talking has worked in the past, I'll agree. The one cartoon I've really seen with him and Bugs was gold.

Naturally, I feel obligated to see it even if it's bad.

Now to mark this occasion...and the reason for the movie existing

Oh man, this could be good. I hope it will be, anyways. The Coyote and Roadrunner cartoons birthed my love for surreal, absurdist humor

As a fun fact on the topic of Coyote, I happen to know the reason behind the ONE time he ever "caught" the roadrunner. It was thanks to my husband's brother and his Marine platoon. They started a petition on their base to have Wile E finally catch the Roadrunner, and WB's response was- the infamous shrinking pipes episode. Hence the sign he holds up at the end. It was the animators' way of acknowledging the petition in the cartoon, with a tongue in cheek joke. All because a bunch of Marines asked for it- but didn't QUITE get what they wanted, lol!

Yup, that's the one! I always loved his reaction when he realizes the tables have turned, lol!
