I have bought the first turtle blimp in a local store for 36€(47$ aprox.). It is new with the original box and it is in very nice condition, unopened and came with the original binding, now I have 2 blimps 1 loose and 1 new in box unopened. What do you think about my purchase? It's a good price?

Micheal's arts and crafts. They charge by size and what kind of extras you get like non-reflect glass. Most of those cost 100-125 with tax. II always go when they do the 60% off framing sales. Every turtles poster I've ever bought was an off size and I had to custom frame.

Just got some stuff from her Monday. I find myself frequenting her auctions, to be honest.

too bad she only deals with you Yankies! i hate when people are so dumb with ebay, and not wanting to deal with international bidders! these days it seems far too frequent, and it's a real drag. i can understand it if you get burned by someone outside your country, but to ignore international bidders cause you're too cheap to pay the shipping is just rediculous

Is it any different than the European merchants who wouldn't ship to me because I'm in the US?

i refuse to deal with international bidders simply because I don't want to hassle with the extra paper work. As soon as the USPS eliminates the extra hassle, I will ship to you no problem.

I just sent out a large box to a guy today, on my own dollar and I filled out the ooooOOOOHHHHHhhhhh scary paperwork. it took 30 seconds of my time. But I guess I am nicer than you because I am Canadian!

no, but that's my point of all bidders. the point of ebay is to sell your stuff to the highest bidder, it shouldn't matter if the bidder lives in N. America or anywhere else for that matter

I was under the impression that people who don't ship internationally did so because getting confirmation of delivery is tougher and if you don't have confirmation of delivery and the person files a PayPal claim against you, you're pretty much screwed. The "paperwork" is a simple customs form that's more than simple to fill out and is a logical requirement for anything crossing international borders.

The price of shipping is a non-factor as it is the buyer who pays the increased price of shipping.

It is the right of anyone to NOT sell their stuff to someone as much as it is their right to sell it. This is true of all businesses. Some customers just aren't worth the sale.

guess it all comes down to how lazy the seller is. if they feel the "extra paperwork" isn't worth the effort, then they won't sell internationally. i'm sure all the "extra" paperwork is really all that difficult.

and i suppose it is the right of anyone to NOT sell their stuff to someone as much as it is their right to sell it, but it's also called being biased. it all comes down to how much of a profit they want to make. business' in this day and age almost always need the international market to succeed, and if they aren't smart enough to realize that, then they're hootched!

Any merchant has the right to refuse service to any patron. This is not exclusive to the internet; it happens in real life, too.
